  1. Offensive line was not the problem this year.
  2. I really doubt the AJ Brown trade is the reason the guy got the axe. It's probably internal politics combined with building your roster around a 1980s power back and a washed up average QB.
  3. Prime Cam was better than Big Ben ever was. It's just that prime Cam was short lived. And he had Ron Rivera as his coach in his 1 Super Bowl appearance.
  4. Big Ben has never been considered a top tier QB at any point in his career. Eli Manning will probably be in the HOF too but do you consider him elite?
  5. The Titans roster construction strategy would have been good in 2004.
  6. Passing is important first and foremost, but let's not pretend like the most elite QBs are constantly in the Super Bowl. Tom Brady, the biggest outlier in NFL history, really skews the stats. For fun let's look at the Super Bowl winners other than TB during the TB era (going back to 2002). Matt Stafford - Not Elite Pat Mahomes - Elite Nick Foles - Not Elite Peyton Manning - Not Elite for his Broncos win Russell Wilson - Not Elite Joe Flacco - Not Elite Eli Manning - Not Elite Aaron Rodgers - Elite Drew Brees - Elite Big Ben - Not Elite Eli Manning - Not Elite Peyton Manning - Elite Big Ben - Not Elite Brad Johnson - Not Elite So out of 14 non-Tom Brady wins, 10 of those were from QBs that were not top tier during their run. If we only go back to 2010, there are 9 non-Tom Brady wins and only 3 of those were from top-tier QBs. How many years have the Packers, Saints and Colts with Manning failed in the playoffs? Having a top tier QB would be great, but lets not pretend that's what it takes to win a SB. Just because a running QB like Vick has not won the SB does not mean that you need one of the best 2-3 QBs in the league to win. In fact, history would indicate that there's more to it than that.
  7. I think the apple cup was on national TV but it was on late.
  8. We would be fortunate to draft any player that wins league MVP. Even if the success is short lived.
  9. Baker's deficiencies as a QB were covered up by the Browns offensive scheme and talent. He's always had problems with his accuracy and decision making leading to awful turnovers. I tried to point this out in the offseason and nobody wanted to hear it. But if you watched him play for the Browns, you knew what we were getting was Sam Darnold+ at best. Nothing against the guy personally. He's just not very good at QB.
  10. Unfortunately he doesn't have that short order cook vibe. Wonder if he likes meatballs.
  11. Richardson is a long shot, but his chances of being better than Kyle Allen are a lot better than Sam Darnold winning us a Super Bowl.
  12. Then let someone else reach on him. People said the same stuff about Malik Willis last year and he lasted until the 3rd round. And that was not a good class.
  13. Probably because a lot of people made it personal and called people straight up stupid. What did you expect to happen when those people slinging insults get proven wrong? Yes they both suck. But the hate towards people curious to see Sam play was unwarranted.
  14. Or it could just be that Josh McDaniels is a terrible coach. Interims have a pretty poor success rate as full time coaches.
  15. I think it's incredibly unrealistic to expect AR to come in immediately and perform better than he did in the college level. The NFL is more difficult to be successful at QB full stop, and he is very raw as a prospect.
  16. There is not one decision you can reverse that would change anything (besides not being hired). Every mistake Rhule made was compounded by future mistakes. He was destined to fail. Edit: I would add that the idea of a bridge QB is stupid and makes no sense. Especially not for 60 million dollars. It was a massive overpay of an NFL backup, simple as.
  17. That's weird. I don't see Sam Darnold on there. I was told anyone who thinks Baker is worse than Sam is an idiot. For the record, Darnold has not been good but Baker was far worse.
  18. Top tier athlete with a cannon arm but needs to be developed to be a consistent passer. A very raw version of Cam.
  19. I would be stunned if he went in the top 10. I think the best case scenario for him is around where Kenny Pickett went.
  20. I wouldn't say it was high risk. The trade was ultimately a 5th round draft pick to kick the tires on Baker. Sam Darnold was a much higher risk move with the picks involved and the guaranteed salary this year.
