McAdoo. Run the ball 70% today
TLGPanthersFan replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Isn't the Saints run defense, like, not bad? Running may not work. -
It doesn’t say Rhule isn’t on the hot seat. Just gives the impression that if Rhule is fired it won’t be until we are eliminated from the playoffs or the end of the season. He is definitely on the hot seat.

Rapoport: Tepper to be patient with Rhule
TLGPanthersFan replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably will give Rhule till we are eliminated from the playoffs. Today will be telling to see how this team responds. -
Panthers will win on Sunday (guaranteed)
TLGPanthersFan replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We will win and Rhule will come out all cocky and then proceed to start another losing streak. It is the Rhule Way: Get a win, get cocky saying we have turned a corner, start another losing streak a -
I think you can decide not to watch a game and not be considered a fair weather fan. I watch every Sunday because I am hopelessly addicted to football. But, honestly, I have had the thought to not watch the Panthers until Rhule is fired. I’ll never do it though, but I did have the thought.

Just to suffer.

I plan to give it one more game and then I am enacting plan “I Don’t Give A Fug”.

Your daily Laughing coaching staff press conference (9/22)
TLGPanthersFan replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes but those two losses were against the eventual Super Bowl Champions and a fluke loss to the Bills. That’s 2013 squad would beat the pants out of this team. -

I would like to think Tepper isn’t that stupid. Say we win 5 games again. That means 3 years where nothing changed and the team didn’t get better. Last year it was easier to predict Rhule would stay because a lot of coaches, unless they screw up royally, get at least 3 years. Oof Rhule gets to stay a 4th years and goes 5-12 or worse this season, 2022. That has never been done in the history of the NFL. -

You think even if we go 5-12 again Rhule will be allowed another year? I don’t think that has ever happened in the history of the NFL. -

So Tepper would be content to make this fanbase catatonic and let Rhule coach another season after this? Last year people said this season is make or break. Now you are saying next season is make or break. Unless something happens Rhule won’t be coaching next year. Also next year isn’t the last year of his contract -

We need to fire both GM and HC but I have a feeling that Tepper won’t do that. Fitterer is one of the reasons we are in such a bad hole draft-wise and cap-wise. -
Robbie Anderson: Fans shouldn't bring negative energy
TLGPanthersFan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah player support doesn’t mean much. Rivera also had support from players. He still got fired. -
Robbie Anderson: Fans shouldn't bring negative energy
TLGPanthersFan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
When he caught that long bomb pass I thought,”Well there is Robbie’s contribution for the year.” He always seems to get on long catch per season and then nothing for the rest of the season. -
I don’t have time to go do a deep dive. But has any team loss against bad teams like us and actually turned it around and went to have a good record? I would say the 2013 Panthers but even at 1-3. The Panthers losses weren’t that bad. One was against Seattle and another was a weird loss against the Bills.

Grab Your Popcorn (Rhule Wednesday Presser Thread)
TLGPanthersFan replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope by the “winning” he doesn’t mean just getting to 1-2. Winning means getting above .500. Looking like we belong in the big leagues and making the playoffs. -

Way to make enemies of the people who allow you to play a game for a living. -
So you are telling me he has never beaten real competition like in college?
-
I think it was on The Roar that a Giants media guy said that even though they were 11-5 and Eli had 30+ TDs but they benefited from an easy schedule and a lot of close wins they should of lost. The when they went up against real competition the McAdoo offense fell apart. Like the Giants vs Packers playoff game. McAdoo hire never made sense.

Does Rhule have a plan/scheme? Most NFL coaches have a plan on how to build there team. Even coaches I think suck, like Mike McCarthy, have a plan on how they like to build their team. Rhule constantly flip-flopping on stuff at the end of games on Sunday to Monday makes me think he has no plan or scheme and is just trying to find something that works on the fly. Which is something I don’t find good for an NFL coach. Example: Rhule said Sunday we don’t have to change anything about our WR group they just need to fight through. On Monday he said we need to get more WRs involved. He has been doing this flip-flopping since he got here. I will give Rivera credit that if you look at the Commanders you know it is a Rivera team because he builds his team his way and sticks to it. TLDR: We need a coach with a plan because our current coach, like Disney with the sequel trilogy, has none.

Not from what I have heard from listening to him. He makes constant excuses.
-
I listen to Locked On occasionally but the host is, or was(?), a Rhule supporter so listening to him can sometimes be a frustration. Dude constantly makes excuses for Rhule.
-
Doesn’t matter if it isn’t all on Rhule. There is enough on him for him to have been fired twice over.
-
No one thinks firing Rhule will be a cure-all. But it will hopefully start the healing. We will likely have a top 5 rookie QB and some already solid pieces on offense and defense. So the new coach won’t be starting from ground zero. Yes next year will be rough but if Rhules not here I’m fine with it
