Still the plan the Bengals for Burrow is what Rhule wanted Darnold to do. Short quick passes and running. Unfortunately Darnold sucks at it and Burrow was pretty good it.

A franchise QB can make a bad OL look decent. But a team will be hindered by a bad QB no matter how good the OL is. We need an OL but we really need a QB that can rise above a bad OL, even if his OL is good. Panthers have neither in Darnold. I laughed when the Bengals hired Zac Taylor because it looked like another McVay hire. Bengals have a very smart coaching staff and beat the Chiefs the way you are supposed to. Way to go Bengals and Burrow and Chase. Go get a Super Bowl.

That is fine. Only reason I watch the Super Bowl is because occasionally it is entertaining even though our team isn't in it. Chiefs constantly making it gives me less reason to watch.

Don't think I will bother watching the Super Bowl if the Chiefs make it again. Same teams making it over and over, year after year is so boring for a non-fan. I had enough of that poo with the Patriots.

Whatever you thought about him. NFL is less without him. He started when I was still in high school and now I am almost 40. His career was simply amazing. I hate him, but I would have loved him on my Panthers.

The last time, this year, the Bengals and Chiefs played the Bengals won.

Chiefs are reaching Patriots levels of annoying. I was hoping with Brady leaving we would finally have more competitive conferences. Now the Chiefs are the freaking Patriots reincarnated.

I mean we did see this season. Darnold has never finished an entire season not injured, if I remember correctly.

Here is only thing I can almost guarantee will happen at 6. We won’t trade back. As much as the Panthers say they will be looking to upgrade the OL this offseason don’t be surprised if we draft Pickett or a QB and sign some more OL in FA. Not a fan of this but this team has made a lot of questionable decisions. I would rather them wait till 2023 and roll with either a veteran, or as much as it pains me, Darnold.

I find it funny how everyone is saying this is was a really good game. I disagree. It was an offensive focused game, but not “the best game ever”. I am kinda tired of calling games with terrible defense and tons of points “amazing games”. They are fun to watch, but as a football game it was pretty bad. Kinda reminds me of the Eagles and Patriots Super Bowl. Terrible defense and tons of points=“Best Game Ever”. Give me a 21-17 game over a 42-40 game any day. But I am kinda old fashioned.

Salary cap, like power levels, are bull crap.

If Rhule loses and is actually given a 4th or 5th year, or god forbid all 7, it will be the first time this has ever happened in the NFL. I know coaches that have stayed on max a 4th year after having 3 losing season, but usually they always get fired during the season. I really feel like Tepper and Rhule is treating this franchise like a college team. In college Rhule would get till the end of his contract to turn the team around. This is unprecedented if Rhule actually completes his contract even if he only has losing seasons.

Then it would be unprecedented. While there have been coaches that have survived 2 really bad years. The 3rd year being bad almost always results in a coaches firing. If Rhule doesn’t make the playoffs next season, he won’t, and he isn’t fired the Panthers will be reaching Browns levels of ineptitude. Maybe Rhule gets a 4th or 5th year. But I doubt it since bad coaches never survive 3 bad years.

So Tepper is just going to keep Rhule around even if he sucks. That is fugging stupid.

I said 2022, not last season Rhule will begin 2022 of the hot seat. Tepper doesn’t have to say anything.

Rhule is entering 2022 season on the hot seat and possibly a lame duck. Sure Tepper may be a reason but Rhule’s job situation is definitely a reason.

I remember reading that Rhule went to the Giants to see if they would match Tepper. Giants ownership said no and probably laughed at the stupidity of it.

All the OC candidates have left me less than enthused.

It is weird that the Covid playoffs in 2021 were more entertaining then this dumpster fire of a playoffs so far.

I don't like the 17 game schedule, 9-8, 12-5, 11-6 seems so wrong, but the additional team in the playoffs is so stupid. 7th seed is pointless, and I doubt a 7th seed will every have a chance to make the Super Bowl like a 6th seed does. 6th seeds is usually the very fringe of playoff caliber, but the 7th seed is dipping into teams that have no right to be in the playoffs, like the Steelers.
