  1. I think they factor in more than just their stats. I believe it is based on how well they run each route and if they "win" that route. I could be mistaken though because I dont think theyve ever made their grading process that open but I believe there is more to it than just grading plays where they are thrown to. Regardless pff is just a tool. It's not a be all end all. It's one tool to evaluate performances. It's still more of a positive to be graded well than badly I'd say.
  2. I dont really blame him at all neccesarily but it also seems like Darnold is at least average then there is a pretty solid chance we are a potential playoff team so I'm not sure what that says about Stafford's mindset. Maybe he just looked at our offensive line, then it definitely makes sense.
  3. If Haskins looks like Mahomes against the starters I would say that's much more of a negative for our defense than anything to do with Darnold, but its preseason regardless so it wouldnt nesscesarily correlate regardless. I also think it's funny you mention that since going by your PJ posts you would be the one posting it if anyone did.
  4. That since Samuel makes 12.5m a season and Robby makes 15m that we overpaid Robby? Robby is a much more proven wide receiver. The fact that its only 2.5m more a year than Samuel got to me says we got a good deal on Robby.
  5. I think if this deal was intended to affect their plans for DJ then they would have done longer than a 2 year extension.
  6. Robby and Samuel arent comparable. If anything I think it proves the opposite of what you think it does.
  7. We are 2 games into the preseason and yall are talking about cracks in the dam showing because of a 6th round pick and an undrafted player in THIS draft.
  8. If they were panicking they would have just thrown him out there and not stated from the very start that he was the week 1 starter and there was no competition. A lot of fans just think they are maybe owed something in the preseason that they're not. The coaches obviously think the snaps at the joint practices are more important. Anything besides that is just a difference of opinion.
  9. Who really benefits from them setting everything in stone to the media? Its not a set scenario is what I take from it basically and it doesnt really seem like it needs to be.
  10. If Darnold turns out as bad as so many people on here seem to want to think we could easily be in the same position or better next time with what looks like a really good draft for the qb position.
  11. I really dont get this Rhule "double talks" conspiracy. He said on Thursday Darnold would make a cameo and he did.
  12. Yes there has never been a lot of correlation between teams and their preseason records and regular season records that I can remember. Some great teams have looked terrible in the preseason and vice versa. It's not really a great thing to make knee jerk reactions on.
  13. You've got to remember they dont game plan or scheme for these games at all. They are going to run base vanilla plays. They aren't going to show many of their plays in the preseason. Especially their redzone plays.
  14. He wasnt staring down Robby. There were two receivers running two different depths in that area. Watch it again, there is an underneath route he was looking at too.
  15. You definitely dont build teams to be consistently good in 1 year either.
  16. There's no such thing as "Grier garglers". He played very solidly tonight. Anyone wanting to say otherwise isnt being constructive. You can admit that, it's ok. You know what you wont see all week? Multiple posts about how Grier should start over Darnold. We understand some people really dislike him but at least be constructive about it.
  17. The people saying he did awful are the same ones who were posting all week about PJ being great with his below 50% completion rate last week.
  18. Yea it was definitely a miscommunication and Grier misread it.
  19. I'm fairly sure it was an option route where the wr could sit in the zone right there or cut it deep.
  20. The certain group of Grier haters have just been waiting this whole time to mess up so they can blow this place up. Especially the ones that overreacted so much to PJ last week. Grier isnt good either but the fact that hes played this long wne all they can complain about is him taking a sack on a totally missed block speaks for itself.
  21. The blind Grier hate is crazy. Hes not great but hes went what 4/5 so far with a perfect pass to Marshall? He gets sacked when the guard totally let the DT come up the gut literally untouched and there are multiple posts about Grier taking the sack..
  22. That throw by Grier to Marshall couldnt have been handed off more perfectly.
  23. What would be the reason for that? Hes obviously going to be the week 1 starter.
