After 4 games, PJ will go to the practice squad and it will be Baker and Darnold. Until then, we have Eason on the practice squad. I imagine Eason gets cut to move PJ over, though I think Eason could possibly be better than PJ. Either way, in a few weeks Darnold will be the backup. I don't think there is a better option than Darnold available. Anyone brought in would be at a disadvantage to Darnold simply because he knows the playbook and has been in the system now for several months.

We lose to the Lions? Personally, I think if we're going to lose the lions, we're going to lose a lot of those you listed as wins too.

I see as many as 12 wins just based off talent. As few as 2. It's just really hard to predict this team because of the way they fell off a cliff last year. Personally, I put a lot of that on Darnold. I'd say 8-10 wins is where we will end up. In Baker we trust.

IF Baker is worth a longer contract, which would mean we are drafting mid 1st instead of top 10, I could see it worth trading back. Not a huge drop off from 15 to 20, let's say. If we don't need a QB and don't need a LT, there is more flexibility I feel.

I am on the fence when it comes to Bakers play, but I'm also very much a homer. That said, this "article" is just a blog. Nothing more than an extra long, glorified facebook post. Only difference I guess is the writer got paid something for it. Any Huddler could have written that.

I bet we are tryign to trade some players. I bet we have some practice squad players elevated once space is made for them. Hopefully they find some DEs somewhere.

Low hanging fruit so far tbh. Johnson was a bit of a surprise. Also Brown, because I didn't think they'd actually cut him. Also surprised we couldn't find trade partners for some of our WR's. Nice to get Saunders on the PS, but he's gotta clear waivers. Would rather get something for him instead.

This is likely true unless both those defenders (that missed the actual pass) came crashing down on him immediately. Or, if Chubba was able to block a guy and Tremble handled the other, play could have gone for quite a bit tbh. Hard to predict how things would have unfolded if the ball went Tremble's way.

I think that was more because they were playing a soft zone. Tremble was 2 yards past LoS and may have picked up two more. Woulda been 3rd and 8ish. He was the checkdown and I'm sure that's where Buffalo wanted him to go to, but he didn't and the tape says the rest.

I kinda agree with this. I could see some guys getting cut, like Daley and Jordan, so we can keep Darnold on the roster, Ricci, possibly Zane etc. Then once we IR those guys, elevate some of the cuts who made it to the practice squad. I could see us having to cut some guys we don't really want to and hope they don't get picked up.

I think the compensation the Panthers would want would make it difficult to find a trade partner. 2nd round pick in year 2, you would think they would want a late second/early 3rd to move him this early in his career. I think he gets another chance next offseason. If he hasn't found a way to be able to play by next year this time, I can see us dump him for a 5th. Someone will take a shot with a mid/late round pick.

If we're picking 7 then the Baker experiment failed and we are going QB.
