  1. Matt Rhule was hired Jan. 8, 2020. Come back in January. It really bugs me people keep bitching about where we are after 3 years when 3 years isn't here yet. Maybe folks are clairvoyant, but right now it's been 2 years (or 2 seasons), not 3.
  2. I see 7 wins max. Definitely likely less than that if Corral is ho-hum. Or unless MacAdoo is some kind of secret genius.
  3. I don't think it was that exactly. I think they didn't want other teams having film on the 4 plays that Sam could actually execute successfully. It did take the league 3 games after all for them to realize we kept running the same plays over and over again.
  4. Not only that, but the offense in general. Imagine if our offense went from bottom of the league to top half. I doubt that happens...disclaimer. Teams will be beating down his door. If Corral is successful, we got Ben for 2 years max. That's all pipe dream stuff though. Same as it was with Brady, tbh.
  5. Shoulda made a poll. Horn is all I'm interested in. Dude looks like he could be perennial pro bowler. I want to see it. Lots of promise from a number of other guys, but no where near the potential of Horn.
  6. They lie. I think they lie to the media a lot to be honest. Imagine they say Sam is the starter. Sam is the starter. all through the offseason, through preseason then Matt Corral starts. Would you be surprised?
  7. The quote was "we'll bring some competition in, possibly, at quarterback; we'll see how it goes." The context was around filling holes and the takeaway, I think is, he doesn't know if the QB hole is filled because Corral is a ? and any improvement from Darnold is a ?. The we'll see how it goes was a reference to the QB's currently on the roster. That said, if an improvement over Darnold is cut from some team, I think we'll definitely try to scoop that up.
  8. Who gives a fug about the 32nd pick in the 4th round? Seriously. It's so late it's nearly nothing and easily recouped in a number of different ways....small trade back, comp pick, trade, etc.
  9. I read Ridder will be wearing 4 in ATL. Deshaun Watson wore 4 in Texas. Atlanta tried to get Watson, but didn't. Carolina tried to get Watson but didn't. I hope Corral doesn't wear 4.
  10. Y'all Darnold supporters need to explain Joe Burrow then. Year one, gets his leg ripped off. Year two, takes the most sacks in the league. Also year two, takes his team to the Super Bowl. Why is Darnold not playing like Burrow is, though they are in similar situations protection wise?
  11. Dude that's the predraft narrative. It's post draft now where hope springs eternal. Go back in your hole until about week 4, please.
  12. Getting Watson wasnt' my preferred route. Too much cap hit and too much lost assets/picks. We would have been stuck with an elite QB with no means of supporting him. Wouldn't have the cap to bring in high end vets and wouldn't have the picks to bring in top draft talent.
  13. Knowing and doing are two different things. I can tell you exactly how to do something in my line of work and even explain why it's done like that. But when I do it myself, it comes out ugly.
  14. Odd comparison. Okay, so an internet search of her boobs, every website that tracks plastic surgeries say straight up, no, the boobs are real while stating unknown for other surgeries. In pictures, I can't find an actual topless pic unfortunately, but to me some bikini shots they appear 100% real while others look 100% fake. The web does say she is considered by some as a plus size model, which would lend credence to the boobs are real theory. This was a cool distraction from work though, so thanks for that.
  15. To answer the OP, I think Ben McAdoo will pound the table everyday for the best QB to play, regardless of whom it is.
  16. Offense is QB for sure. Maybe that's solved. Who knows? Defense is LB I think. DE could also be a need, but I think MLB is still the biggest.
  17. How is he still so great when he's so old and is not even a QB?
  18. They didn't. I'm almost positive #1 was Pickett. I think most teams had Pickett as the #1 QB tbh. But as far as the rest of this, when they decided not to trade up into the late second, when they decided to wait, per Fitterer, they said let's wait until two more QBs go then jump back in. So once Willis went, that's when they locked in a deal and moved up. I don't know where Corral was on their board. Maybe they had a number that they felt were all basically equal and had little preference. I really wish we knew, but we probably never will. They certainly aren't going to say "we wanted A or B, but those guys went we had to get somebody!"
  19. I'm not worried about the OL and QB so much as those wife receivers. If we got some actual NFL receivers instead of the player's wives, I'm assuming, we may actually develop a passing attack on this team.
  20. It wasn't so much one-read. It was more pre snap read or, I'm not sure the term here, but one key reads. Basically a lot of reading one defensive player....if that LB does this, then the ball goes here but if the LB goes the other way the ball goes there. A lot of presnap motion in their plays. Very heavy play action which plays well with the RPO and QB draws that they would run. The biggest issue I've seen is when the play breaks down and his expected read isn't open, he skips reads and goes straight to the checkdown. There's a lot of is 1 there? 3? ball goes to 4. Or 1, ball goes to 4. He processes too fast and skips guys.
  21. Scott Fitterer was just on SXM doing an interview. Nothing new was really said and I'm not sure if this is news at all, but it made me happy. Fitterer said McAdoo "has a lot of conviction for Matt Corral." If Corral was McAdoo's pick, then I'm in.
  22. I get all that. But it's not happening. I'm just saying, that's all. We're not trading Robby at this point. I wouldn't bet money on it, but again, I'd be shocked if that came to fruition. During the season, maybe, but I find it highly unlikely he gets traded before the season starts. #realitysuckssometimes
  23. I was told this expression a long time ago...."everything before the BUT doesn't count."
  24. I think you misread the OP.
  25. Great read. Would really like to know who they would have picked in the late 2nd. I'm glad we got Corral. I think Willis is overhyped and has too many question marks on film. I don't know enough about Ridder other than his accuracy stinks. I would have been happy with Howell, but seeing how much further he fell makes me glad we didn't take him in the 3rd.
