I'd rather see both these QB's duke it out. Mahomes is tough but this was always a dicey matchup against that Eagles defense. Hope he's okay.

I can't fathom that anyone can watch this game between these two teams led by these QB's and come away thinking we should still be wasting any amount of time rehabilitating a bust from several years ago. It's past time to get our guy. We must make a big move in the draft.

See this is why we can't have convos about the guy here. Kurt Warner? You are talking about the same QB who just concluded the season by putting up the worst single game passer rating in Panthers history. Worse than even Jimmy Clausen. Respect to you for standing firm on your position I guess but for me we can do better than Darnold in FA. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't read too much into any of this. I'd be quite surprised if Reich or Fitterer don't reset the QB room completely minus Corral. Both men have seen seasons derailed and their job security potentially threatened due to the position turning into a catastrophe. If the status quo were the plan or acceptable moving forward for Tepper I would have to think he would have just hired Wilks

A coach can teach him until he's blue in the face the coach isn’t the one behind center. We need to draft our own guy we didn't take Darnold it is not up to us to rehabilitate him when he's now entering his sixth season.

Being optimistic is one thing. But to mention him in the same breath as any of those other QB's is peak cope. He was thoroughly outplayed by Andy Dalton cmon.

I am not enamored with the idea of moving up to the top 3 to take him but if Fitterer and Reich think he's the guy well you do what it takes to get him. But at the end of the day I highly doubt three QB's will be gone before our pick. Take it easy ya'll lol

Any of them could bust but you really want another small frame QB? We have Corral. For Fitterer to add another he would have to be on the sauce or just not at all concerned for his job security.

Yeah at this point you have to call it like it is and admit it would take a miracle for Jordan to suddenly become a good owner and lead this franchise to any level of consistent success. This is how we will likely remain for the foreseeable future unless something drastic happens. Even if we got the first pick I would expect us to fug that up somehow too.

Personally I say give me a QB who will ruffle some feathers and shake things up and instill a new culture here the way Newton did. These dad jeans types who love Darnold can join him on his new team.

All back and forth aside I agree with this completely. Just talking the truth about Darnold in this thread results in no less than half a dozen poo'd posts lmao. You'd think we had actually won something of significance or been to the playoffs with this guy. People are crazy lol. I cannot wait until the draft and free agency has begun.
