Draft screwed…. Season screwed…. Coaching screwed…. Future screwed

There were actually 3 fumbles he only recovered one. Even if you give him a pass for the one that's still two plus the interception. Just can't be that careless with the ball if you want to be in the postseason
-
Yeah definitely possible let's hope not.

We got really lucky when we fleeced the Bears for Olsen. But as for this or next years class of quarterbacks you could make the argument any season that it isn't an ideal time. Next years class seems to be the mantra around these parts but when next year rolls around we start loafing around going "ehhhhh idk" haha. We do have extra picks so if a guy falls and we want to roll the dice I'll accept that.

Regular season no but entering the postseason and beyond you want to be scoring minimum 3 touchdowns to give yourself a chance. The Niners and Eagles look to be the teams to beat in the NFC and they have given up their share of points. But they can get on the board when they need to. We can't. There are different reasons for that beginning with different needs like a real tight end. But our QB turning the ball over was the difference maker in the loss yesterday IMO. Brock Purdy played better than our starter. We need to leave no stone unturned in the offseason in our search for QB and it begins with the draft. I'll keep banging that 🫡

If just being better than Matt Rhule is the bar let's keep Wilks and bring back Ron to the staff when he's canned in Washington. We can have two Rivera's. Still better than Matt Rhule though!
-
The Niners gave up 400 yards of offense and 3 touchdowns to Jarrett Stidham yesterday and had to take it to overtime to put the Raiders away. There is no path to the playoffs where you are going to win with an offense putting up less than 30 points.
-
Why do so many people on this board think other teams aren't going to score? Even good defenses are giving up 30 points this is the NFL if you want to be relevant your offense has to go toe to toe and not kick field goals. I'm over the defensive identity of this team. I want to build a juggernaut offense.

Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
frankw replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Results say he had a 53.6 QBR with 3 turnovers and was bested by a man twice his age. You guys will settle for anything. -
Some of ya'll are being homers thinking Horn would have shut down their passing attack all game. You have to score more points.
-
Ask your old Jets fan brethren what silver linings mean to anyone.

We got burnt badly in the secondary and we just used an 8th overall pick on CB a year ago. Odds say even if we won today and made our way into the playoffs we would not shut down any of the better offenses in the NFC for four quarters. They have talent and good coaching too. At some point your offense and your QB have to lead you to more than 3 touchdowns. It's a high scoring league. That might be enough for mediocre teams but it is not getting you into a conference championship.
-
Wilks has earned criticism and we should undoubtedly exhaust all options in our coaching search but some of you are delusional and not consistent with your expectations for both sides of the ball. The Bucs are a talented team they are going to get on the board sooner or later. You guys that think we are going to the playoffs holding talented teams to 14 or 17 points are just nuts. Our offense has to start putting up 30 points and more.

I got an awesome idea for our fanbase...

ShockedHopefulEstuarinecrocodile-mobile.mp4 I can kind of agree with some of the things you are getting at but this division is deep fried dogshit. We won a few meaningless games and still could not thwart the efforts of a should be retired and washed up Tom Brady. If you're happy with that hey cool more power to you. That does not mean everyone else has to agree. The Panthers have been doing this for years. Folks have a right to be frustrated. That's sports. -

frankw replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah we need a healthy secondary obv but we need an offense helmed by a QB who can muster more than 24 points. The best teams in the league are regularly dropping 30 points. You guys wanted playoffs but somehow expected we would walk our way into the dance with this measly output? Nah. -

For a starting QB in the current version of the NFL turning the corner means not turning the ball over or putting it on the ground. The bar around here is beneath the Earth's crust apparently. -
-
True but Sam has a history of this foolishness we aren't going to coach it out of him.
-
Yeah this was a bad trade no way around it.
-
If Sam isn't throwing an INT he's fumbling. We have extra draft picks still take another QB regardless.
-
-
Lmfao I forgot all about Josh Norman.
-
Welp time to see Sammy with a game winning drive.
-
He deserves criticism but what does he have to do with our secondary? We invested an 8th pick in our corners and he has been banged up. Maybe it's time we shift away some from this defensive team first mentality.
