Story on the Joe Brady situation from Charles Robinson..
frankw replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Joe Brady needed to go. But he didn't hire himself and in the lead up to the 2020 season I definitely recall in depth interviews about his philosophy and together with Rhule their desire to try to replicate things from the Saints offense. This notion that Matt Rhule was saddled with a clueless idiot in over his head and had no idea that was going to happen is revisionist history. -
Joe Person: Panthers expected to name Baker Mayfield Week 1 starter.

What is this? You say he had those QB's and those olinemen like he had all that forced on him and made none of those decisions. It's very odd how some people want to act like he didn't come in here with basically full control to shape this roster. Never have I said he is guaranteed to fail. I hope he proves us wrong because I'm tired of this team being a joke. But I'm not going to sit here and pretend like he hasn't had a key role in all this. And grown men piling in here to poo negative posts about Rhule shows what a pitiful loser mentality some people have. Especially after all those years of talking ruthless poo about Ron and cursing his name and he actually oversaw the winningest season in franchise history. Raise the damn bar. -

Did Chip Kelly have this many stans in the Eagles fanbase? Hell at least he actually won some games. Back to back five win seasons. Three divisional wins in two years. Matt Rhule doesn't need you to defend his honor he needs his team to perform better because he's been calling the shots. -
Sounds about right. He's Cleveland's problem now he got what he wanted let them all deal with that.

Idk how some of ya'll that complain about this place constantly don't recognize you've become just as if not more obnoxious than those you gripe about. Just accept we have been a low tier franchise the last few years and if we show some signs of improvement then you'll see a difference here. -

He's being paid almost 19 million to ride the bench and eventually walk out the door to another opportunity. He would have to be a real douchecanoe to not have a good attitude about that. -

The center we signed to shore up the position is already banged up before the 2nd preseason game and Elflein aka one of the worst olinemen in the league who has been injured off and on himself is still our backup? Yeah definitely concerning if you value the health of the starting quarterback and remember the "highlights" from last season.
-
By far? Good one lol. If we're ever that desperate just play Temple legend PJ Walker.
-
He isn't even a quality backup he can't process the field when the real games are played this is all common sense.
-
Nobody wants that jabroni unless we just outright cut him. Get it over with.

ball?

Darnold doing Darnold things. Shocking!

Is there any Zapruder film of this Baker to DJ Moore touchdown from yesterday?

Or you could just stop coming here and complaining about people complaining.

Panthers "Starting Center" Bozeman Injury Not Considered Serious
frankw replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly no that's not the case. We took those years of consistency with Ryan Kalil for granted. It feels like it's been quite a long time now since we've been able to confidently say center is "good". So yeah I shudder at the sight of our new center we signed anywhere near a cart on the practice field. It's a position we are going to need to look to upgrade our depth for in the next draft I hope. My position is just please no more Michael Jordan and Pat Elflein on the field together protecting our starting QB. -

You quoted me and each time you've gotten low key more condescending with each post. You seem to have the opinion that there is nothing to see here related to Bozeman today. I hope you're right. But I'm not required to agree with you. Learn to handle it or stop quoting folks bud I didn't bother you. Enjoy your evening. -

They can call it precautionary as much as they like bringing out the cart is not a good sign ever. You struggle to view team matters without Panthers tinted shades and frankly you act like you're related to Matt Rhule so do your thing. -

Did we all just imagine him being carted off the field at camp today? If you don't agree just say that this just asking questions bit is a waste of time for both of us. We both know you are very pro Rhule. That's fine. But the rest of us can see the track record with our oline and it is not pretty. My only hope is Campen can talk some sense into Matt with these lineups. But Pat Elflein still hanging around as our depth at center inspires zero confidence. -

Paradis declined each season since he left Denver and dealt with injuries and his backup was Elflein who is at best a so so backup who also has dealt with injuries. So far it's looking like we'll be holding our breath Bozeman can stay on the field potentially opening the door for more Elflein. We should have drafted a center instead of throwing away picks on long snappers. -
I hear you but I mean at one point we had the worst OL in the league last season. We need to figure out the starting group and let them begin gaining continuity now.

Center looks to be a catastrophe waiting to happen again. It does not seem like we learned from the debacle with Paradis last season. -
If Elflein and Boseman aren't the answer
frankw replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Elflein is your center depth you did a poor job with the position. We aren't doing our starting QB as many favors as the sunshine crew hoped in the offseason when they did a victory lap. Let's hope we can keep Baker upright but those big guys barreling toward him won't be letting up at the last second like on Saturday. -
Even if you overlook the first two bad seasons which directly center around his own decisions as he has been in full control. You cannot just set aside and ignore his 3-9 divisional record. You can choose sunshine and rainbows but you can't just change reality. Sounds like some of those alternative facts we've heard from scatter brained Americans the last several years.
