M Kaye Observer HC candidates pros and cons
frankw replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
@rippadonn Take care of yourself I always enjoyed the banter here with you even the Golden Corral memes. -
You got me there I was thinking of Kemp Rasmussen. I loved some Buckner too though.

If the Ravens are moving on from Lamar should we knock on that door?
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well any GM that likes being employed wouldn't just punt a former MVP for nothing and even if they do get a haul he's hitching his wagon to a rookie QB after such a move. Great way to end up looking for a new gig fairly quickly. -
I don't worship the ground he walks on because he is rare for the position he plays so clearly I hate just hate all white guys lol. Tell that to Kevin Greene Dan Morgan Ricky Proehl Brad Hoover Steve Beuerlein Jake Delhomme Brenston Buckner Luke Kuechly Ryan Kalil Greg Olsen even John Kasay despite the kick heard round the world.

He led the league in touches his banner year and the next two seasons was on pace to do the same. That doesn't compare to DJ Moore or Brian Burns because one plays defense (hello?) and the other is not touching the football even half as much. That's why the 5 wins is mentioned often. If you give your main weapon who many herald as a future hall of famer that many touches and time and time again he comes up short (happened multiple times on key fourth down attempts) then yeah people are going to ask what we're doing. The post-trade results do all the talking. People can say Fields name all they want it doesn't change the facts of the situation as it pertains to the Panthers predicament they found themselves in. Now that we have moved on from both that and Rhule things look far less bleak. Hopefully we can and will get back to having a balanced offense.

Steichen is very intriguing as well. Between he and Johnson these are two swing for the fences hires. It's got to be one or the other at this point I'll accept either.
-
Ben Johnson is my preference.

Actually I had yet to even see this thread until a gentleman not unlike yourself who says he enjoys staring at pictures of McCaffrey in his free time inquired regarding my whereabouts. Maybe you two should compare notes.
-
You care so little that you steamrolled into this thread shouting my username when I had yet to even interact with you. Yet it's me throwing the tantrum and insults. You very obviously have not moved on. I used to feel the same way after the 2015 core slowly faded into obscurity. But time heals all guy. You'll be okay just take a breather. If replying to me with these love letters is your way of coping I'm here to help

That was David. Remember the gloves? https://larrybrownsports.com/football/david-carr-please-lose-the-gloves/1124

He has the X's and O's down it's all about his vision for the team his staff and how he will reshape this roster into a real offense capable of making the playoffs. If we hire him or Steichen it's a gamble like anything else but it's time we tried a new path.

I've never denied his receiving ability I even advocated for him becoming a slot receiver to try and keep him less banged up. But that isn't worth 60 million dollars and giant salary cap hits that hinder our ability to build the rest of the offense. You are so mad about this. He isn't walking back through that door go cry into your pillow about it.
-
Yeah where a guy named Cam Newton led the team in rushing. You are so terrible at this lol.
-
Hey no judgement whatever you like is your business. He is very handsome.

Of course. Several teams would be pursuing him if the Ravens were that foolish but they aren't. -
The Panthers used to be in the NFCW and we had a rivalry going with them in just the last several years. I hope this doesn’t keep you up tonight honey you seem upset about it. Take a melatonin.

If you want to get the #1 pick from the Bears, what's your move?
frankw replied to EgoDogg's topic in Carolina Panthers
But it worked great on Madden... -
You must have loved the Seifert hire.

Actually looking back even further the last time a running back won the award before 2001 was 2 years after JFK was assassinated. It's very rare and I'm sorry but McCaffrey isn't the exception to the norm just because his coach force feeds him. Let's see how that formula works against other playoff teams.
-
Sorry to keep you waiting booboo. This is Geno Smith's award to lose but good for McCaffrey. I still hope the 49ers lose and lose badly. Fug them.

I am a fan who is very pro player and generally despises most owners especially in the NFL where they control so much. But in 2010 players also raved about Marty Hurney. Doesn't ultimately mean much or signal big or great things are on the horizon. We actually had our best years under Gettlegut (until he torpedoed the roster getting cute) who many would regard as a total dick. Just hire a coach that has the right plan to bring this offense into the year 2023 with the rest of the contending teams in our conference. If it's Wilks we'll accept it and hope for the best but if this goes South I will never want to hear again about how much so and so like this or that coach.

Using Kemba to crap on LaMelo? Kemba didn't even start averaging 20 points until his 5th season and Ball is already doing that in his third season. OP is like Scott Fowler on the night we drafted LaMelo and then kicked up several more notches. The way this franchise is mismanaged Ball may not even want to stick around so you're wasting energy hating on him.

Under No Circumstances Should We Trade a Haul for a QB/Pick
frankw replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
We also had our chance to not need any extra picks to move up. Typical Panthers. -
All those games mattered man it's all we had been talking about through December. Again. 24 points isn't going to cut it against a playoff bound team more often than not. The defensive breakdowns were just salt in the wound. Meaningless or not that's an embarrassing way to end the season. And no I do not think Wilks should be the head coach I haven't given him a pass. Though as I've said I do give him credit for looking significantly better than Rhule at times. But the lows (Cincinnati and New Orleans in particular) are glaring. This franchise needs more than Ron Rivera 2.0. We should switch gears and hire an offensive minded head coach.
