  1. That first turnover will be a doozy here. We know how these boys on the huddle get down.
  2. I'm ready to see some throws. The hype videos of guys walking around in shorts just make me cringe knowing this teams trash record against the nfc south lately.
  3. He's known the guy all of five minutes what else is he going to say?
  4. Oh come on he knows what he said and what he meant and he was smirking the whole time through the interview. He has the right to be salty but don't walk it back now.
  5. It is hilarious how angry you get about this.
  6. Looks like one of the Hornets Martin twins with the beard.
  7. You think about this place too much when you close the screen out my guy. It's just a chat room not real life.
  8. I am really hoping things will be different for him. But the second throwing motion change in three years and the quarterback this board spent several weeks ridiculing as having a weak arm possibly pushing him for the job is not a good omen for a former national champion rookie of the year and mvp. Time is a vindictive bitch.
  9. Well the harsh reality is those coach of the year honors happened well before the decline of the team under his watch. The decline that saw the Panthers tumble down into the cellar of the division. Now mind you not all of that was his fault but he was the head coach and in control of the roster and was the lead guy on game days. Does that mean he is deserving of hate directed his way? Absolutely not. But until the team sees more consistent success with a new regime fans will look back in disbelief that we could have squandered so much potential so quickly.
  10. There are many many more fans who appreciate and value him than there are trolls who use every opportunity to attack him. You are using cowards on social media to base your argument around. I hardly think Cam sits up at night worrying about what some idiot redneck thinks of him. Newton does not strike me as someone who would shun the Panthers fans and also important factor here his fellow teammates who were right there with him through the best memories of the last decade that defined him and this franchise. It may take some time but I believe he will want to be honored alongside his teammates.
  11. Not much of an effective smokescreen if hardly anyone actually believed it. Lance made the most sense after the trade if they were looking to upgrade from Jimmy to a more dynamic signal caller which seemed plainly obvious given the level of investment.
  12. I don't think anyone will argue that Bryant was without serious flaws and those who choose to overlook those in some way do so for their own selfish reasons like human beings have been doing with public figures for a very long time. But your need to air all that out in an unrelated thread about nfl jersey numbers while tossing in the other crash victims as a footnote to validate your point just seems performative. He is dead and gone and anyone who wants to know about him good and bad will have all that information to form their own conclusions now and many more years from now it isn't going anywhere.
  13. Terrible no but in fairness the defense did give up a record number of consecutive third downs. Teddy didn't do enough with his opportunities but the secondary will need to be much improved going against our division.
  14. After reflecting some more I have to come back to coaching. Remember when Vernon Carey got his first start? He played very well but then the struggles came and we gave up on him. I know he's a rook but our established starters have had cold streaks too and they have stayed out there longer then they should have just look at the shooting in the Pacers game. We should have played our young draft picks more through the second half of the season and let them take their lumps. The more I look at Borrego the more I see Clifford with better developmental traits but still the same negatives.
  15. On the contrary. I've been quite blunt about the prospects of his career as a starting qb moving forward. But unlike yourself I do not harbor an unhealthy level of animosity for him or anyone else who has not been in the team for 12 months or more. But then again maybe I shouldn't expect much intellect or rational thought from someone who quits his team on a whim when things get too tough.
  16. You will always be a Falcons fan rage quitter.
  17. Lack of experience wasn't the issue against Indiana that was just putrid basketball and barely even pro level in some aspects. The last thing the franchise needs to do is rest on the hollow accomplishments made earlier in the season. I will trust that Mitch knows what he is looking at but there should be no excuses for the effort in the final game that's what people remember that's the last image of the 2020-21 Hornets.
  18. The Panthers are 2-6 against the Falcons since 2017 and Atlanta just improved their offense while Carolina is betting on Sam Darnold so yeah that's unfortunately fair until proven otherwise. As for Chicago I had to go look it up. We have beaten them one time in the last decade. https://www.panthers.com/history/series/carolina-vs-chicago#:~:text=All-Time Series%3A Panthers vs,all-time against the Bears.
  19. It will be a beautiful day when #1 retires a Carolina Panther. We can finally put all this ugly nonsense among the fans to rest and celebrate his career and what he did for the city and the franchise. That is all that matters everything else is just noise.
  20. Recent Super Bowl teams tell the story better than anything else. Look what the Bucs did with a fresh Leonard Fornette in the postseason. Ten million dollars in two running backs and they have their second championship trophy secured. But if you talk about this too loud around here folks get emotional.
  21. Need to build a better culture. Losing the way they did last night is a great way to deter higher tier free agents from signing here. Unless you throw them a whole bank vault like Gordon Hayward and we see the returns of that move aren't looking so hot.
  22. If your goal is to shift from a joke franchise to building a respectable contender then players like Cody Zeller need to be shown the door. I would not be in any rush to hand out new contracts like candy to anyone after the showing last night. When players show you they are distinctly not clutch and then proceed to lay their biggest egg of the season in the most consequential game of the season it is time to either look at the coach the culture of the team or the overall roster. You do not just pick up and reset like nothing happened. Things need to be shaken up.
  23. @Klepto2klub you pooing posts over these bums who just got blown out on national television ? Some weirdos out here.
  24. So what I'm reading is Michael Jordan or whomever is pushing these hires needs to get out of the process. Two coaches who mirror each other hired back to back. No more assistant hires. Bring in a real head coach with experience and build this roster up with a real center. I cannot watch Cody Zeller and Biz suck ass anymore.
