I feel you. I've been wrong on things over the years but with the Panthers under Tepper generally what you see is what you get. I would be thrilled to be pleasantly surprised. But the Richardson years as imperfect as they certainly were might as well have been another life compared to this. On the last part of your post though. There are some people around here though who choose to weaponize things and go off the deep end doling out retribution over discussions. I might troll from time to time but I'm not spamming reactions on anyone over these discussions like some have multiple times within the last month alone. At the end of the day we all want the same thing. But there are people here who can't function and spiral if they encounter opinions that make them uncomfortable. It doesn't have to be this way. All roads lead to our ownership. That's where any ire should ultimately be directed.

As someone who watched much of both games the universe did you a solid brother. There will be plenty of horror to watch when the Panthers regular season kicks off.

At this rate we'll know within the first 5 games. This team certainly isn't hiding anything up their sleeve. Best case scenario is if we do suck just let it continue naturally and hope to get a top 5 pick. No more in season scapegoating.

I mean these players were ready to physically fall out in the Texas heat. You think it's not going to get ugly in Jacksonville week 1? We'll see.

It's year 3 and the immense hype with Bryce Young revolved around what was widely regarded as "elite" processing ability. Against the Texans defense he looked quite literally out of his element. Even the most eternal optimist would have to concur this is concerning. At some point as a young QB developing you can't keep going up and down like a see saw. Especially if the narrative is that you've had poor coaching poor talent poor everything. Now we have talent we have a young supposedly innovative offensive minded head coach. That narrative is going up in smoke.

At this point it just looks like outside of a few positions our depth is just mediocre or awful. And we can't say Dan inherited this because well Dan was a willing participant lol. And there will be some players we can pickup after roster cuts but not anything that will make a difference. But yes I agree. Only thing to do now is see which guys on this roster go out there and compete their asses off regardless.

Well unfortunately there isn't much to actually churn because if we're being honest Dan hasn't exactly been great at drafting. I mean every year we look at our picks and put on our homer shades but he really isn't breaking the mold after the disaster that was Scott Fitterer. And as bad as Fitterer was it's not a good sign that even he made a better attempt at bringing in QB competition over the years than Dan did this year. Now that stings.

If the preseason is any indicator. These folks will be begging for even someone like PJ Walker to step in eventually.

Yeah unfortunately we've made our bed for 2025. And it looks like not only are we going to waste yet another season we aren't going to get much if any development of the young offensive players out of it so all around it's just squandering. Which is the quintessential story of the Carolina Panthers.

I know it won't happen but it would be really nice if the local media held Morgan's feet to the fire about this QB room in the morning. Somebody needs to be asking some damn questions.

Until convinced otherwise I think David Tepper is still pushing behind the scenes. He and Dan Morgan want so badly to save face for the trade up for Bryce Young. To enter camp with absolutely no competition at any level in the QB room is simply beyond the pale for this franchise.

I've been saying this all year and even as recent as a month ago and people poo'd my common sense posts about Dalton and the QB room.
