Idk, Sam will be cheaper next year than a FA acquisition. There’s really not a QB in the draft that’s gonna be ready to go day 1 either. So it’ll probably either be Sam again to see what he can do with a OL or they will draft a rookie and hope he can keep up with the rest of the team. If it’s the same offensive coaching staff a rookie QB will probably do more harm than good.

On a positive note, I’m impressed with Taylor and Bouye
-
agreed but WHEN he does get it to the receiver they drop it. Cough *Anderson* Cough
-
The entire offense has been.

Tepper sitting by himself up in the booth with a “I don’t really understand football” look on his face.

This offense is so unorganized. What kind of show is Brady running. We need 2 timeouts to get the play out. Then our QB didn’t even know we couldn’t do that. Then John “22% PFF” Miller gets us a holding call. WTF
-
I’m gonna counter you both and say: LT: Moton LG: Erving C Elflein RG: Brown RT: Christensen
-
The OL isn’t gonna be fixed this season. It’ll be mostly fixed this off-season and will take 75% of our draft and cap room to do it.
-
I’ll have a 95% chance of sh!tting my pants too
-
Actually that was probably Fitt since that’s his job and everything.
-
Important to remember that if one struggles on PFF the ones next to them can suffer too. It’s only human instinct to edge off a block to get the guy that just blew by your neighbor, or make a misstep because your neighbor got blown up on their zone step. Just my two cents. Moton was okay but his neighbor probably brought him down and he’s mirroring his usual self. Daley is a back up at best and inferior to Elf (which is horrid) Paradis is a star or a bum from play to play no in between. Miller is garbage. Not even that, he’s stuff that leaks through your trash bag and drys and sticks to the bottom of the trash can. Christensen probably struggled because the safety cone next to him was getting blown up every play and it was also his first start.
-
And just to clarify. LT Moton LG Traded OL C Paradis/Elflein RG Brown/Christensen/Scott RT Schwartz/Christensen/Scott
-
Really if we could just trade for a decent guard and pick up Schwartz or maybe have Christensen grow into that role we could probably make it through the season without killing Sam. A couple more games like this and there won’t be anymore Sam this season. Then we get a Temple guy because ya know “Temple”.

Kinda what I’m saying too. Players are being micromanaged by the coaches. Coaches that aren’t making adjustments and are coaching a flawed scheme. Burrow would still be Burrow without Joe Brady. Brady would not be Brady without Joe Burrow.

It’s hard to blame the players when they are doing exactly what they are coached to do.

Very Discouraged By Rhule and His Comments After the Game
Cdparr7 replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it’s a good statement. -
Watching Rashawn Slater be great makes me sad and angry.

You’re not happy with our 9 CBs we have? What an outrage. It’s okay, we will pick up a Baylor tackle in the 5th or 6th this year. Rhule will like his work ethic. -
Look dude we all know you hate Darnold. You and the PJ fan club dude talked about it all preseason. I’m not trying to be a smartass but Darnold does have 11 TDs with a raggedy OL and no McCaffrey in 2 games. I don’t think Mahomes or Rodgers could be successful behind the OL that’s out there right now (and no I’m not comparing them I’m just saying our OL is a dumpster fire) When Teddy left he made the comments about red zone, which made sense, we also had the same 2nd half sump problems last year. Now, we are getting figured out each game and the play calling is very predictable. It’s hard to develop a young QB when he’s being chased to and from and the defense is reading every play. You have to game plan, hide your play calls with motion or different packages and put him behind an OL that’s going to keep him on his feet. Justin Fields or Mac Jones would be in the same situation as Darnold right or maybe worse. Darnold is just accustomed to trash offense so that gives him a leg up.

Sam Darnold press conference after Philidelphia game
Cdparr7 replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
Delhomme used to have these spells from time to time. Nothing a running game and OL can’t fix -
Have you ever called an offense? Do you know how complicated you can make it?
-
If he’s out before Joe Brady I’m just gonna stop with football all together.
-
I really don’t like Newton but I hope he or Joe Person rings this bell in every media session with Rhule all week.

It’s been like that as long as I’ve been around. I’ve been going to games since 95 when it was at Clemson and had PSLs for nearly a decade, it’s never really been like that. I think it was even described as a “wine and cheese” environment at some point. Closest I can remember it being somewhat hostile is 2013-2014ish. There was a stretch in 2004-2005 where the fans were pretty emotional.

I predicted 10. Looks to be more in the 7-8 range though. December/January is brutal.
