  1. If they start Cam this Sunday, that'll make two weeks in a row PJ has worked with the 1st team, getting those reps and preparing to play but gets shafted. I think PJ starts, gets a chance....loses even if he plays decent, and we start Cam against WFT. Even with Cam playing its unlikely we win Sunday. Why have Cam start with his hands tied (not knowing the playbook and rusty). Cam gets 1st team reps and more time to be ready and make a difference next week at home in front of fans.
  2. Cam's pocket time in 2020 was longer than Darnold's this year, but I agree that he has the tools to hopefully handle that issue better. We'll see. I really hope so.
  3. That Pats team didn't have a lot of weapons but the OL was better than what we have here.
  4. The way the FO handled Cam's release was sorry. I'm glad they signed Cam. He will instantly make our QB room better (He'll be the best QB on the roster). I am not sure he has shown enough lately to warrant a multi year deal though. I'm not sure if he has what it takes to be a #1-Franchise guy anymore. Hopefully he comes in and proves me and every other doubter wrong.
  5. I can't see what you are referring too. This is from Burns' Twitter feed.
  6. The comments that he made just echo what Coach B had said. I really think he knew what he was doing. I'd maybe give him a little more slack if it wasn't for they lack of concern....He's just playing it off. I Think if you really didn't mean to do it you'd show a little more concern or something. Its not definitive, just the way I think I guess.
  7. I disagree. It looks like he was perfectly aware from the replay. He slid over and tripped Burns and yanked and twisted his ankle...the whole time he was looking more towards where the ball had gone instead of looking at Burns. The video speaks for itself.
  8. The Dilemma isn't all Joe's fault, Or Sam's. Its a combination of things. I really think it goes to Rhule more than anyone. He seems to follow the philosophy that it doesn.t matter what plays you call, if the players do their job and execute the plays then they will work (not taking into consideration that we don't have the kind of QB or O-line that can execute those obvious plays better than the defense can execute stopping them. I remember the Washington team that ran counter 3 plays 4O times a game with Riggins, Smith or Rogers and everyone knew it was coming but good defenses couldn't stop it. IMO Rhule (and Brady) have not accurately schemed plays our team can execute well enough to work even if the opposing D knows they are coming. They should be working on wrinkles, and adjustments but instead they "Trust the process" and keep coaching up players hoping they can execute the same few plays at an elite level. I just don't think its ever gonna happen.
  9. Lachlan has only punted one game for us. It was Ryan something two games ago and we booted his butt and signed Lachlan. He averaged about 44 yds a punt vs the ATL. Not Great but better than the 39 yards Charlton was averaging before he went on IR
  10. Lachlan Edwards will probably stick on the Practice Squad for awhile. Charlton hasn't practiced yet and may not for a couple of weeks. He wasn't playing well earlier this year so the coaching staff will probably hang on to Edwards to punt even after Charlton returns. If Charlton does not do well or has a setback, Lachlan will take over the job cause the team will cut Charlton or, more likely, place on season ending IR.
  11. We will need our defense to pay extremely well like they did last time PJ started. Hopefully the game goes kind of like this...MACJ vs our D http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0wnplisX71qdlh1io1_400.gif
  12. If we get Watson the maybe then team will change our mantra to Keep Stroking.
  13. Erving's effort here is sorry. If he'd ran down the field and threw a block Sam might have scored. That said Sam has to learn how to get down or at least lower his shoulder when he's heading for contact. Can't take a hit like that standing straight up!
  14. I saw that--I wonder if we called about him and offered Ian Thomas? (Or anyone/anything else). Fit is supposed to be in on every deal...
  15. I wonder if they script plays for the 3rd Q, like they d0 when the offense starts in the 1st Q? It seems a lot of teams might...I'm not sure if our coaches are that quick-witted to plan those out well to start the 3rd. You have to have a couple ready I'd think though based on what you've seen so far from the opposing D.
  16. If I remember correctly its been reported that Fit has been in contact with Philly about Dillard (during the offseason), but Philly wasn't wanting to give him up. At least not for whatever Fit offered. I wonder if the Price has gone up or down? I know we don't have the draft capital now that we did then.
  17. A lot was made of the Running Game, Defense, and OL play this past week and the obvious improvement in their play vs ATL. The Special Teams play was pretty good as well. I was calling for Chase Blackburn's job a couple of weeks back. I'm glad to see things are looking up. I hope this group can continue to impact games for us in a positive way. - Zane made all 4 FGs including 51 and 57 yarders (57 is his new career long). He hit his lone XP and kicked the ball into the end zone on all of his kickoffs. He seems to be improving week to week. - New Punter Lachlan Edwards averaged nearly 44 yards a punt. Why that's not elite by NFL standards its a heck of a lot better than the kid we had last week. It is also Better than our injured starter Charlton who averaged only 39 yards a punt through the first 5-6 games. - Ameer Abdullah and Alex Erickson are playing decent as our returners (Nothing astonishing but they're not hurting us). They make good decisions and catch the ball cleanly. - Our protection has been better (No blocks) - Our coverage has also been pretty good (ATL had one decent punt return and we got most of it back because of a holding penalty or block in the back) If our special teams can continue to play this well, Our D stays healthy, and our offense protects the ball- we might win more games than we lose the rest of the year and be in the hunt for a wildcard spot. Hopefully this becomes consistent and isn't just a fluke performance!
  18. Plus shop Haynes---I bet WFT or Buffalo will give us a 6th at least
  19. Robby to LA for Desean Jackson in a deal that swaps one of our late round picks (6th-7th) for a day 2 pick. Robby would be super bowl bound and we'd get an old guy that's still pretty fast and can actually catch (oh--and a Day 2 pick (3rd Round probably).
