That $11M in the red is negative cap space, so the $12M we save next year basically gets that to zero. His cap hit is almost $22M next year, $12M non guaranteed after we pay the $9.7M bonus. Next year they can cut him and owe nothing, pay him the $12M in his current contract, or extend him. Depends on how he plays and the value of the draft pick given up obviously

So they're basically paying him $700k and tossing us whatever late pick to try to get their season turned around. Wonder if they'll keep him next year for $12M or just cut bait

San Antonio City Council isn't going to sell him the Alamodome. They do just fine with their own events and concerts, I have a hard time seeing them interested in giving Tepper any money so he can build his own place.
