We might have tackles. The gap between Linderbaum and the next best center in the draft is massive. The free agent options? Non-existent unless you're wanting to pay an old guy to be on a 1yr rental. Stick Linderbaum in the middle, get Deonte Brown some reps on Sunday, and find an LG so that Erving nor Elflein ever see the field again.

The only upside is if we are able to trade down and pick up an extra 1st in 2023 so that the new coaching staff can have two firsts and an OL with at least 2/5 spots filled when we ride Sam into the bottom 5. This is hell.
-
Take Linderbaum. If the team can trade down a couple of spots while recouping a 2nd or 3rd and still land him, that'd be awesome. This OL needs a center that can make the blocking adjustments necessary to keep the QB clean and improve the play of both guards. With the talent available, the only players worth taking instead of Linderbaum are Neal and Cross if they're believed to be LT1/OT2. I've seen a few different scouting reports call out Neal as a RT but if he looks like he can be an LT and is OL2 then I wouldn't be upset to see him drafted.

I saw the same posters talking up Dennis Daley hyping up BC, so he has that going against him. Been rewatching him to see if he'd be a potential "Unsung Heroes" focus and the dude did not look good vs TB. Tecklenburg missing adjustments vs the various blitzes TB sent at them didn't do him any favors tho. Hopefully he looks improved when I get to rewatch the game without drowning it out with booze.

"Sam doesn't have trade value" really doesn't help folks' arguments because it's not like Cam has any.

Phew... it sure would be nice having an extra practice squad body, top 40 + 110 selections in the upcoming draft, and $19M in cap space. Unfortunately we have an owner that thinks like a Huddle rageposter and a coach that refers to paint chips as wall candy. T_T

What are you going to do if Rhule turns it around next year?

Mang, you know as well as everybody else does: Winning changes everything. -
I mean... outside of being in the feels, there doesn't make much sense to play Cam. Sam kind of has to play. He's the only QB on the roster that can potentially build trade value (Cam + PJ are both UFAs next season), and... I mean do I have to go into detail here? We all know what's happening and why. There might be a few fans that are understandably emotional, but... between draft position, trade value, evaluation, etc. it has to be Darnold.

I'm gonna trust your math because I'm hammered and really don't want to get sad trying to find out exactly how poo we are. -
One of the main reasons I'm campaigning for Linderbaum with our first round selection. The dude is the best offensive lineman in the draft. That's what was said about Rashawn Slater last season (was my primary choice followed by Fields), and he's been beasting out in LA. Christensen has looked like ass as an LT tb100. As an LG? Ok there might be something there. In an ideal world, Deonte Brown turns out to be a mobile mountain at RG and then we're looking for a stopgap at LT (or get lucky developing a day 3 guy). Charles Cross looks like a really, really good LT prospect though. I wouldn't be mad if the team went with him.

He blocks as well as his immune system does vs. COVID

At this point I'm just hoping that they leave an OL with more than just Moton on it for the next staff.
-
I'd take Linderbaum. A center touches the ball on every play and adjusts blocking assignments. I've seen folks reference him as an iOL as if a center and a guard are remotely the same, but the dude is a stud. Throw him between Christensen and Brown, sign a veteran LT, and then reeeeeeeeee

In range for #3, at worst #9! -
May I introduce you to Tyler Linderbaum, the best offensive lineman in the draft?
-
That's why they play defensive back. HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUE

Beautiful stunt by YGM + Brown Luvu has played his way into a contract imo
-
Omg Chuba caught a ball
-
Nixon has been an OC for barely a month and he's already been downloaded by NFL DCs. This team continues to find ways to punch themselves in the dick.

Saints knew the audible. Gross.

Pls retain Reddick + Luvu

The Jets crushing the Bucs makes me irrationally angry at this staff. idk if that's the straw that broke the camel's back for me, but holy poo is it fuging infuriating to get stomped out by the Bucs after they got shut out only for the fuging Jets to be beating their asses. Holy fug

Never would I have thought I would be begging for Richardson back.

Nah, I'm forever good on JR. We'd have had a new owner anyways just by nature of aging alone.
