Carr about to walk into that meeting with a few Bible verses prepared and Reich is going to fall over himself to get him into the building ha! I actually wouldn't be that upset if he's brought up but I much, much prefer going to the NFL draft and trading up for our guy.
-
I'm glad to hear that, they need to re-establish a connection with the fans again after the last few years.... mostly by just winning the dam games.
-
Good read. Tepper deserves criticism but he's not tight on money when it comes to hiring coaches, just got to hire the right guy and I think he did that this time around. I just hope the culture of winning comes back and we go back to the 'Keep Pounding' roots that Rhule tried to stray away from.

Good for Steve! That spot has been a springboard to HC opportunities and I hope it continues with him.

I’m not a big fan of Levis from what I’ve seen but idk
-
No two ways around it, that’s a good hire!

I'm just relieved that we'll likely draft a QB in the first round with Reich at the helm and not Rhule

Report. Panthers pivoting from Shane Steichen

Yeah his relentless negativity is a bit much and he's got a voice for blogging it's a weird combo. Had to shut off the pod today cause he wouldn't let John dive into some Frank Reich details which is all I care about at this point, not so much how interviews were conducted and how the Panthers suck at everything. -
Frank Reich's Intro Presser - Today, Noon EST
Panthering replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Some of those questions provided absolutely zero insight lol. Playing surface? Really? He was so confused by that question being asked to him that he had to clarify 3 times if he was hearing correctly lol. Thanks Charlotte media, I learned absolutely nothing from that. -

Tepper learned that lesson the hard way from Rhule
-
Then those will be the top two QB's on his board lol
-
Will Levis has a tattoo of a bible verse on his arm, Reich will fall in love with him if he's available at 9
-
That would actually be worst case scenario lol
-
Good answers from him, clearly an seasoned NFL guy happy for him and his family

Alright then, not a bad hire by any means but not the most inspiring one either. Look, I got my wish, an offensive minded head coach. He's got a ton of NFL experience and should be able to put together a good staff. Let's roll!

Something I've noticed is that Reich is a man of faith, very devoted there. I seriously wonder if that's why he and Wentz are so tight together. Thing about Wentz though is that he was rumored to really push it on his teammates even when they weren't receptive to it. Really hope we don't pick up Wentz here, would immediately tank any goodwill he would have in Charlotte if hired. Look, Reich isn't the most exciting hire ever and not what I wanted but he is a successful NFL coach who could certainly build a NFL staff. That's fine with me and he does seem like a good leader to have up top.

Rhule has nothing to do with this at all, college coaches tend to not work out. Taking a OC has yielded the best results in the NFL.
-
What a freaking bummer if true, sounds like Reich is the leader in the clubhouse right now. Well, I will say he can probably hire a good staff around him.

4 remaining teams in playoffs are Bengals, Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers and they are the clear cut best 4 teams in this year I'd say. All Offensive Head Coaches, 4 of the last 5 SB winners are all offensive head coaches with the lone exception being Belicheck.
-
Wilks and Reich is not what I'm looking for. How did we go from this awesome pool of Ben Johnson, Shane Steichen, etc. to these two? Also I'm sick of hearing how Reich was a brief part of the Panthers in 1995 as a QB, I really don't care.

Sean Payton would be an incredible hire! I might be wrong in that but man, offensive HC with Super Bowl winning success in the past is a fantastic resume. I definitely hated him when he was in New Orleans but I also understand he's a damn fine NFL HC.
