  1. Yawn. He's injury prone, on a fantastic team with a fantastic offensive line, and a running QB. That's RB on easy mode.
  2. We need a route runner who can get separation, that is Renfrow. He's got good hands to boot too, we should be going after him because he needs to be taking Thielen's routes.
  3. I am probably coping a bit but the video sort of confirms what I thought I was seeing on Sunday in that the process is there, he's making reads & then decisions based off of those reads, yet the results were just not there. Perhaps on another day aka not his first freaking NFL game ever he'll be able to play at a higher level. I do like how JT pointed out there isn't a lot of improv yet from Bryce and yet that's a strength of his, I agree, and I do think that it'll come out more during this season when he realizes we need that part of his game to win. He's doing the pocket passer thing which is great to see and I think very encouraging but as JT notes, a lot of our first reads are to Thielen for some reason who is just slower than pondwater unfortunately. Rookie QB with these WRs is just going to be tough no matter how you slice it. I wish we had DJ here because he'd be feasting with Bryce.
  4. Credit to Fitt, who deserves plenty of criticism but not for drafting Zavala, cause holy smokes that might save the season from imploding too early and keep Bryce head on his body.
  5. A&T kid! Loved watching him when he's healthy I really hope he actually passes the physical
  6. Everything seems coachable so far and can be chalked up to experience. With his mental acuity I still feel good about him, did not realize how often he missed open receivers though so thanks for this cutup.
  7. Can't predict injuries but we passed on Micah Parsons, Patrick Surtain, and Rashawn Slater for Horn. Parsons is already on a HoF trajectory and the other two are stud starters. Sheesh man. More CJ Henderson = another loss or two coming our way than normal. He's horrible
  8. The Turf looked like it grabbed at the cleats and doesn't let the foot get off the surface as easily. Did it to Aaron and Jaycee.
  9. Green dots over the middle is pretty encouraging for a short QB we just have absolutely no deep threat and Bryce and/or the WRs have bad chemistry right now on the routes. A lot of incompletions are thrown in the vicinity but always off by a a few yards I noticed so unsure who that can be on. Honestly I'm still just stunned by Bryce's calmness in the pocket, it's a very encouraging sign for me and one of the things that has me excited to just watch more of him. Took a shot deep and overshot Mingo by a yard or so, he's going to connect on these eventually. Just can't have two picks obviously.
  10. He looked like a rookie today, I don’t think he has much help from his receivers right now. Their timing is off on the deep routes and I’m not sure who’s fault that is. I honestly liked a lot of what I saw from Bryce today but he and the team made too many mistakes today.
  11. What? It's absolutely a factor. The heck do you think he did all of this for?
  12. Now pay him his and then when his contract is up when it's time to pay Bryce then we can say see you later
  13. This feels like a bad matchup just like last year vs the Browns week 1, an extremely capable running team with a really good back vs our defensive weakness. Since this is away I can feel us dropping this one, maybe by multiple scores too. But... I do believe in Bryce, so we'll have a chance! I just can't ignore the bad vibes around Burns right now and everything being so new right now: Falcons: 31 Panthers: 17
  14. Probably should’ve taken that trade with the Rams. But Burns is still really good, we should be paying our best players anyways with a QB on a rookie contract.
  15. I know that Carolina is a small market and all but people are way too down on us right now. People saw us play the Jets in week 1 of preseason and wrote us off immediately.
  16. Of course not, have you seen our WR room? We need anything we can get there and he's a cheap, fast WR. Got to roll the dice on his injury history and hope for the best.
  17. One trick pony with iffy hands and an annoying attitude? Not For Long! He's had a good career regardless and will probably be signed by someone anyways
  18. Too busy not giving a damn about anything man was he good, but lackadaisical
  19. Damn, Shi and Vann cut, hate to see that happen to my Gamecocks. At least we got Taylor Stallworth, who I am so thrilled has been able to carve out a heck of a respectable career for an UDFA.
  20. Rivera admits a bit too much in his pressers sometimes lol, I'm glad he's open but sheesh.
  21. The contrast is stark watching that video and then clicking on the Bryce Young video. Bryce is operating on a different planet, with a different skillset and scheme obviously but still. I feel pretty bad for Bears fans, but at least Fields is dynamite running the ball. They tootled it trading that pick to us IMO but they actually might have a shot at a good QB in this next draft if things don't improve.
  22. Bears really chose a QB who makes JT's face go like this on Year 2 of Preseason action over Bryce Young who he lauded at the end of the video saying he's got "Capital A" Anticipation on par with the best in the league already. That's tough! Funny theme of all of JT's video on Bryce so far is how much he criticizes "Nineteen" (Adam Thielen) for some stuff he sees on film. That might just be our WR1!
