Hey credit to Canales, he came in with the label to fix Bryce Young, spent the offseason with him and after 2 games declared that enough for the team. Glad he didn't feel like he had to keep trying to prove anything to anyone, the guy is broken right now.

I was pounding the table for that but internal politics on Mint St won yet again. Would've been the perfect antidote to this crap and at least he can sling the rock.

I've been out of market for 8 years now so I've really just seen the brutal decline. I don't see every game anymore, never watched a snap yesterday. Until there's some actual changes I'll happily watch whatever else is on TV. However, I still follow the Panthers religiously online, it's a little too ingrained in me at this point which is fine. I really enjoy watching other NFL teams play so easy to ignore on actual Sundays lol.

I just peeked at the Giants subreddit and they are already ticked about Burns not producing at all this season lol

I don't really root against Stroud at all, it's so incredibly obvious to me how good he is and exciting to watch. I just kind of laugh at how the Panthers screwed that pick so badly when watching compared to Bryce.

Would it have really killed them to just take a flier on a late round QB this past draft? The kiddie gloves that everyone in the org uses for Bryce is the most infuriating part of all of this.

I feel pretty bad for him, but that's alright it's part of the job. Just do everyone a favor and bench him.

Behind the endless positivity is candor I haven't ever seen in pressers ever so I'm actually enjoying that. The positivity is fine with me, doesn't bother me one bit.

I just don't understand what could be productive about these meetings, unless Canales can actually speak his mind which I'm about 99% sure he cannot.

He meddles in the sense that he signs off on the HC & GM Hires, and also has input on the QB situation more than we'd probably like. I'm not sure how much deeper he can go than that but all of the decisions so far in those 3 areas have been catastrophic failures.

Oh it's OVER over for this season.

Ya know, as much as I don't think it's going to happen I cannot push back on the logic. Proof is in the pudding in the past.

Canales is not one and done btw

He is THE root cause on NFL Sundays no doubt in my mind. These guys see him every practice and know he isn't good enough, he has no charisma, no leadership, he knows it isn't working, and the the whole team can smell it. Nobody can play loosely because they know as soon as anything goes wrong it's an unsurmountable comeback with Bryce at QB. It's way too easy to give up in those scenarios because what the hell is the point of fighting when you know it isn't happening?

Pete Carrol made that work for a long time in the NFL.
