  1. I love Deone Walker. Still under 21, team captain, outspoken leader, force in both run and pass d, elite quickness for someone his size. I think he’s a riser into R1 through the process but would be all for him next to Brown and Robinson.
  2. He's a stand up kid. Him and Starks were the heartbeat of that defense. Would not be mad at all with the pick.
  3. I really wouldn’t expect much movement at all from a coaching perspective. Seems we’ve gotten to used to an annual clearing house here when this may be more of a hold offseason staff wise. Seems like Canales has momentum and the guys he likes. Just gotta see what happens next year for better or worse.
  4. Abdul Carter (a mini-look by me, admittedly lukewarm on him) Positives: Length, burst, bend, overall-sky high potential (all-pro), versatility - plus talent as both the edge and offball LB Negatives: Inconsistent run-defense, only one year at the edge, poor hand technique, gets off-balance easily and is a tackle misser, lack of a pass rush moveset/overeliant on his quickness, twice in trouble with the law (the notable one was pulling the tow truck driver out of his truck and beating him up - was towing his ride) Overall: Major upside, but he doesn't scratch the top-10 in most drafts. He's not ready to be a 3-down guy. Too much development needed in both the run defense and in his pass rush arsenal. Won't complain at all bc of his potential, but this type, much like Chop last year, is not an instant potsticker. Guys like D Barnett, Bark, & Chaisson make me nervous/like I've seen this dance before. Parsons was so much further along as a run defender, you can't compare on that end IMO.
  5. Telling stat even with Stroud going to the playoffs again. The Texans are in a bit of a spot right now and Bryce’s play truly looks better at the moment. Stroud’s had to carry that offense and Slowik has been questionable, but still, he hasn’t been what we saw in 2023. Accuracy has gone down a notch under pressure. He’s faced crowded pockets galore. Bryce showed a lot of promise down the stretch and we weren’t far from being 7-10/8-9 with those KC, TB and PHI games.
  6. Definitely truth there about Lamar and BAL. The AFC is KC's playground unless Allen or Lamar can overcome it. I'm enjoying BUF this year, but KC just wins. And Mahomes in the playoffs is the new Brady. He just can't be denied. Although, I think KC's biggest poison could be this LAC squad in the DIV round. HOU seems to be limping in and just has too many holes right now. But the Chargers stack up well and know how to play in KC. Hope BAL-BUF happens in the DIV round. Think it'd be fun to see a KC-BUF AFCC (Allen finally beats KC in the big one) and a DET-LAR rematch NFCC (That high scorer this season felt like a premonition). BUF-DET The Battle of Lake Erie. Sorry Browns lol.
  7. Some good NFC storylines: -KOC vs. his old HC in LA -Likely ROTY vs. Redemption (WAS v. TB) -Eagles vs. Packers, finally without injuries (They never seem to play at full strength - I.E. Rypien game) For the AFC, it's basically, can the Bills or Ravens take on KC? Can LAC play spoiler? And that's about it haha.
  8. I'm probably half reading tonight ha, long weekend - but if you don't think Burden has 1 ceiling then I get it. But in today's NFL, I'm looking at the St Browns, JSNs, Pukas, Rashees, etc. and think we need to consider a different lens for how we build an offense. Especially with a draft that offers no real difference makers pass rushing or playmaking wise, which you want at the top.
  9. So you don't think Coker can flank and you work XL and Burden around one another? I think they are rather complimentary. XL's ceiling is the X, and if not, I don't want to be jamming him into a slot role that's better suited for others IMO. And Canales does not run a fixed system. XL would be 60/40 outside/slot, a guy like Burden 40/60.
  10. Let me follow up on this - 32 catchable targets, 32 of those were catches. 100% Only 1 drop, on an uncatchable ball. 70% rec rate on 46 total targets.
  11. My initial Burden argument: The contested catch ability combined with YAC skills put him in a tier above the slot types. In addition, his acceleration and big play ability are something we just haven't had in forever. But it's not a one-trick pony situation either. In addition, he has no injury history, no drop problems, developed well rr-ing wise this year. He's flexible positionally, not slot exclusive. Can go X, flanker and slot. I think he grades out a mid-1st, but in this draft class, that's top-10 since there's no typical top-10 talent. I find him to be interesting because in shorter field scenarios, he can look like Doug Baldwin, but on deep plays he turns into a Brandin Cooks. A popular comp is Rashee Rice. A JSN with home run skills. At the WR spot, I don't view anything outside of Coker a long term check mark in our WR room right now, so if one is BPA, I don't think there's redundancy to worry about. I like who you like though. Will Johnson is a real possibility at 7 IMO.
  12. Yes, he’s damn good. Didn’t say otherwise.
  13. Burden has the burst and skills that makes me feel really comfortable with him to compliment this offense. I like Graham, Johnson and Starks as well. But I don’t think I’d take a pass rusher this year in the top-15. I’m just really not fans if we’re talking specific prospects, not the idea of taking an EDGE high (which most years makes a ton of sense). Abdul, Mykel, and Jalon (do like) just aren’t guys I’m thrilled about top-10. They don’t have top-10 skills. And by that, I mean guys you expect to be top-12 at their position.
  14. I know the talk has been Tmac or front-7 heavy, but now at our official pick, the prospects change a tad- Burden could be a dude that could fit really well and be BPA. 1-Burden WR 2-Donavan Ez EDGE That’s my early like
  15. His catch percentage per catchable ball is off the charts. He’s the first guy in a while at that spot that feels like a dude. Still can’t believe he went undrafted. This isn’t a Colbert, Gettis, or whatnot, this kid could stick. Love his game.
  16. Gonna leave this here: Bryce had 21 total TDs in 12 games started Stroud had 20 total TDs in 16 games & 1 drive
  17. I'm pleasantly surprised. He was on the verge of getting fully Carr'd and stepped up after taking back the starting job. He still has limitations that show at times, but he did a lot to be our guy for 2025. Not only did he look good down the stretch, it looked like he was having fun out there doing it. That wasn't the case for an iota of last season. Good on him. Reich's team already feels like it was 5 years ago.
  18. This is the take I’m looking for ha
  19. McMillan just got a 15 yarder for pointing two fingers after a first down. Apparently that's a gun and not a first down signal lol. What a ridiculous call.
  20. There goes the Titans game. NYG aren't winning. So best case is really 5 if the Jags pull it off. Likely 6. If we win, could be 7-9.
  21. Pats are ahead of us no matter what. Jags are looking iffy against Indy. Giants can't move the ball vs. Philly, that looks out of reach. So...if we lose, still looking at it like this: 1/2 CLE/NE 3 TEN 4 NYG 5 JAX 6 BEST CASE CAR
