Exactly. Theres only 32 HC jobs in the NFL and only a handful of openings a year. If one opens up somewhere, all candidates will jump on it. Johnson is who I wanted in the offseason after Steichen.

Need a coach to come in, fix the oline, get some weapons, try to trade Bryce for anything and move forward.

pretty frustrating that we can point out the weaknesses way before the season begins and those weaknesses then show up again. We knew that we needed better goaltending in the offseason. We got the best out of Raanta and Anderson and we gambled that it would continue into this year which it didnt. Now we have to scramble to find another option to pair with pytor who may or may not even be ready to be a goalie 1 yet.

I think Zach Wilson is the better comparison when considering where they were drafted.

This offense looked the best it had, and still does, all season when Dalton was the QB and we have kept him on the bench ever since during this enormous poo show.

Yeah hate to break it to you but Young is definitely a bust. A #1 overall QB doesnt play nearly close like this and at least shows something. Young has shown absolutely nothing and its only worse given what we gave up to get him.

Young is a bust no matter the condition of the line. He will end up as a career backup.

He may be getting sacked a lot, but some of it is on him and he still isnt an NFL caliber starting QB anyway. The oline is mostly used as copium for those that dont want to realize how huge of a mistake we made by picking Young with the #1 overall.

If Wilks stayed, we would be stuck in coaching purgatory like Rivera. Not good enough to get us where we want, but just good enough to not get fired. Tep would stick with him for 5-8 years and we wouldnt win a SB. We shouldve just picked the right head coach from the beginning.

I dont think he cares much tbh. If he did, He wouldve fired Rhule last offseason and not given him another year and Frank wouldve been fired before the bye.

All of the above. Bryce is one of many problems, but he is still a problem. His play has done nothing to suggest he would suddenly become elite with better surroundings. Just average to above average at best. Not what you are looking for in a #1 overall.
