  1. I'm talking about strictly the TALENT around our rookie QB not what they are asked to do. The collection of WRs, Rbs, TEs, and Offensive lineman analyzed as an entire unit. Bryce easily has the worst collection of talent out of any other starting Qb in the NFL, and if he doesn't then who does is my question
  2. When you have the worst collection of WR talent in the NFL its hard to have perfect stats. Add in the Offensive Line and Running game struggles and you have your answer why he has to throw so many short passes. Sure all of these sound like "excuses" to make up for poor play but surrounding your Franchise Qb with legit talent is a real thing in the NFL. Every team does it. I've asked this question a ton on this board and no one has been able to answer it, maybe you can? Which QB in the NFL is being asked to do more with less than Bryce Young currently?
  3. If you're adding Daltons almost 60 attempts in 1 game, sure. Bryce averages about 36 attempts per game through 5 games which would put him about 7th in the NFL. Still I'm not sure how this is relevant to your point if anything it speaks even more volume about Bryce. Throwing it that much with the worst collection of receiving talent in the NFL and he's still completing 63% of his passes is again, pretty remarkable.
  4. Not a single one of our WRs is even league average. That is unacceptable period. And for the record Bryce still completes passes. He's completed 20+ passes in every single game he's played despite the worst collection of WR talent in the NFL. Pretty remarkable.
  5. I don't think he needs top tier talent at all he just can not have the league worse or close to it. AT is 33 years old and is averaging 72.8 receiving yards per game including 2 100 yard games with Bryce (left out the game he had with Dalton). He had 0 such games last year in what many would deem a better offense and a better QB throwing him the ball. Young is revitalizing his career kind of like Cam did with Steve Smith. If we had more WRs getting open, an oline that could block well consistently, and a solid running game like we had today we wouldn't be 0-6 and Young would look a lot better than he has so far, but that's not reality nor will it get much better this season. I fully expect a much better year next year when it comes to Bryce. Not so sure we don't make some coaching/FO changes in the mean time though.
  6. I don't think Drew Brees in his 6th game in his rookie year would have faired much better tbh.
  7. So when Trevor had 9 games of no passing TDs his rookie year and several 100 yard outing losses people were all clamoring about his physical ability to throw the football? I don't believe that to be accurate. And to your other statement, there is no problem with being upset about the current state of the franchise and voicing your displeasure. You think I'm happy we are 0-6 with Brian Burns still on the roster and no 1st rounder next year? Of course not but I'm not going to poo all over our rookie QB who very clearly needs time to develop and upgrades around him like the poster I referenced does. Like I said earlier there are QBs that are currently playing worse than Bryce but are still winning games. What does that say? A lot of those people I was talking about make such baseless generalizations and claims and like to "stir the pot" while we are losing only to jump on the bandwagon and act like nothing happened or was said when we start to win. Those are what we call "Fair weather" fans and they are some of the worst fans in all of sports
  8. It's not what most people here want to hear but it's the truth. Bryce has had his ups and downs but I truly believe he's had more ups than downs so far this season. The offense and team in general haven't done him many favors. There are QBs who are playing worse than young yet are still winning games. That should tell people the problems with this team are deeper than the QB situation
  9. I mean imagine if Young had that dudes coaching and supporting cast. Would be a whole lot less crying and complaining around here that's forsure
  10. Unfortunately there are a lot of mrcompletely11s running around on this board currently. If this team ever starts to win again they will slowly begin to disappear and instead of reading the annoying drivel in every thread it will fade like a soft whisper. Just gotta give it time.
  11. Did Trevor Lawrence show an ability to elevate his team when he went 3-14 his rookie year with 12 tds to 17 ints? How isn't it possible for a rookie to get better when he is CLEARLY in a bad situation with a lack of talent and the team perpetually under performing? The defense gave up 42 points in back to back weeks. Last week they had the excuse of 2 costly INTs and a terrible fumble. This week Bryce had 0 Turnovers. Still had to score over over 40 to win. How is that realistic expectations at this point in his career? They aren't.
  12. I've gotten plenty of hints that you are still the least knowledgeable person and worst poster on this message board, is that what you mean?
  13. There was a time when Matt Rhule was coach and all I did was voice my displeasure with how he was running things and how bad of a coach he was and because I didn't have my Panthers blinders on I was banned from posting in the main forum. Fast forward to 2023 when all I've done is voice support for our young struggling QB and now that is being frowned upon and threatened with another possible banning. This place is hilarious and another reason why I believe this cursed franchise/fan base is getting exactly what they deserve.
  14. So you don't believe that a team needs to surround their franchise QB with talent and that they should be able to put up good stats and win games no matter how good the collection of talent is around them? That is what you believe?
  15. Sure but can you at least answer the question I posed to you though? Which team's QB has less to work with than Bryce currently does?
  16. It's not that pieces need to be perfect for Bryce to succeed. They just need to not be the worst in the NFL. Look around the league and as a collective who has a worse running game oline and WR group as we do? We don't have a Cam Newton ready to throw to a bunch of JAGs his entire career. We have a QB who is much better in the short to mid game and he needs the weapons to mirror that. Why is it such an asinine thought that Bryce's downfield passing game will get better as the pieces around him get better?
  17. Ok but at the end of the day what's that have to do with Bryce? Was it Bryce Young saying those things? That's what I'm getting at. Fans want to take it out on Bryce and hold that against him when none of that garbage was his fault. The anger is misplaced when it comes to where he's at in his development. It sucks to have to have patience because all we've done is lose the last 5 years with nothing to look forward too. It's definitely worrisome that we are 0-5 probably 0-6 going into the bye, but that speaks more to the coaching staff than it does to our undersized rookie QB. There are plenty of examples of young QBs struggling early, even former #1 overall picks. There are examples of young QBs balling out early even former #1 overall picks. No two situations are the same and unfortunately this offense just isn't the best to drop a rookie #1 pick into it and expect instant success. Oline has struggled, no running game, and historically slow WRs not getting much separation. Doesn't sound like we are setting him up for success.
  18. But that's the whole point. Aren't guys built like Cam Newton suppose to show out early because of their athleticism and more favorable measurables? Bryce doesn't have that to rely on he has everything working against him when it comes to his "physical limitations" so why would we expect him to come into the NFL and set the world on fire right away? Especially with this supporting cast. Just because he isn't dominating doesn't mean he doesn't have any traits, or an NFL arm, or isn't as smart as advertised. He just needs time. He needs exactly what he's getting now. Real NFL action against real NFL defenses. Being smart and a more cerebral person doesn't always mean you are out smarting and out playing people from day 1. It means he has the ability to learn and adapt to his environment and once it finally starts to click for him it will begin to translate onto the field. I truly believe Bryce just needs some time and more experience and he will be just fine.
  19. Have you ever read a gameday thread? It's definitely more than 2%.
  20. Making up a route on the fly in the huddle? Through the first 5 weeks? Yes mrcompletely11 I do
  21. That's true he did but he did it one time out of how many snaps in 5 games? That's great he was able to do that and execute it for a TD but lets not act like this is what he's been doing since the first game and every snap thereafter. It was one play.
  22. If we landed Lawrence this fan base would have poo all over him for his rookie year. He went 3-14 had 12 tds and 17 ints with virtually the same weapons Bryce has now. He also started 0-5 with his 1st win coming in week 6 against who? IF you guessed the Dolphins you'd be correct! Maybe it's a sign that a major upset is on the horizon
  23. You called this pass at 1:57 a wounded duck floater? I hope you're joking even though I know you're not. You continue to prove you actually dont know poo about football and one of the worst posters on this entire message board if that was the pass you referenced as a wounded duck floater. It was a spiral that would have hit Thielen in the face 20 yards downfield. Lol.
