  1. Chark runs very poor routes and has very poor releases. His route tree is literally two routes Go and Deep Cross.
  2. We are not one player away on offense or defense. Best WR in the league doesn't fix our OG situation
  3. FWIW, Mario Addison was in a similar spot with us and finally became a full time starter in his age 30 season. Up to that point he was a pass rush specialist in a similar role as Haynes has been so far. Not saying we can rely on him becoming a good player at age 29+ like Addison but it is definitely possible he just needs to get on the field.
  4. Who said anything about elite? How about we start with an average supporting cast first? Because that is not what he currently has. His supporting cast is easily one of the worst in the NFL and a defense that's given up the 2nd most points through the first 6 games.
  5. I see 5 white jerseys in coverage, 2 20 yards down field, a spy, and 3 dlineman rushing. Not sure where you're getting 7 non dlineman from
  6. I don't really care about any of that. All I was saying was if you are trying to get an accurate look at how our offense compares to other offenses in the NFL when it comes to scoring points you have to judge them by similar criteria. Cherry picking stats to fit a narrative no matter if its right or wrong will never make sense to me. No doubt we are the worst team in the NFL currently when it comes to our dearth of talent and our record I don't think anyone is going to dispute that.
  7. All I was basically getting at when I said he was being asked to do more with less is that he is being asked to do what a normal QB does minus having what other QBs have to throw to/work with on offense and what they have blocking in front of them. I wasn't really talking about anything from a scheme stand point like when they said they are going to be taking more responsibility off of his plate. However I do understand where you're coming from in regards to evaluating talent in the NFL. Pitts was at least a 1st round talent, London a 1st round talent, Bijan a 1st round talent etc. AT has had exactly 1 100 yard game in his last 2 seasons with the Vikings and he only had 3 the season prior to that. He's had 4 100 yard games in the last 3 seasons with the Vikings in all, and he's already matched that in his 1st season here. There could be a few reasons for that but again, there isn't many teams that have a 33 year old slot WR as their only threat to catch passes, just the Panthers. Mac Jones would be another example and I would also chalk a lot of his struggles up to the talent or lack thereof Belicheck has put around him on offense. Cam went through the same thing when he was with the Patriots in 2020. Damiere Byrd, N'keal Harry, and a young Jakobi Meyers were his starting WRs. Just awful.
  8. Agreed I would love to see a streak to the outside WR completed a few times this season. It seems as though something is always off every time we attempt one. We allow inside pressure and Bryce throws as he's getting hit, WR stopping on their route, and of course just a bad throw where the timing is off. I think it'll happen Bryce is getting better with each passing day. It sucks to be 0-6 but there are QBs playing worse than he is who are winning games. Just have to remain patient its all we can do right now
  9. What other team is relying on a 33 year old slot WR as their primary weapon? Agree with the other parts of this though, potential is there but potential is just that...when it comes to actual success in this league the Panthers have the worst collection of talent, period. Those defenses watch film and come in with a plan. I don't think they change that plan after 2 quarters saying "hey these guys cant throw down field" they would already know that going into the game lol
  10. That would still certainly make a difference at where we're at when it comes to ranking points scored for NFL teams. You can't take points away from the total and not do it for other teams. Are you going to go through and remove all the garbage time points other teams have scored as well? That doesn't make any sense lol
  11. It's not really that difficult of a question as you make it out to be and can be done very quickly by looking at what each QB has around them. NFC South for example Saints have Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, Alvin Kamara, Jamaal Williams <- More talented core than the Panthers Buccs have Chris Godwin, Mike Evans <- both WRs are more talented than any WRs we have Falcons have Bijan, Allgerie, Pitts, and London <- more talented than our core of players You can legit go through every single team just like that and easily see the talent difference between them and the Panthers. You can't deny that the team did a piss poor job at surrounding our #1 pick with quality talent in his 1st NFL season. Add in the fact our defense has given up the 2nd most points in the NFL and its not hard to see why this team is 0-6 and our rookie QB is struggling.
  12. If you were to do that then you'd need to go and remove the defensive points scored by every other team so that it would be realistic, not just the Panthers.
  13. I'm talking about strictly the TALENT around our rookie QB not what they are asked to do. The collection of WRs, Rbs, TEs, and Offensive lineman analyzed as an entire unit. Bryce easily has the worst collection of talent out of any other starting Qb in the NFL, and if he doesn't then who does is my question
  14. When you have the worst collection of WR talent in the NFL its hard to have perfect stats. Add in the Offensive Line and Running game struggles and you have your answer why he has to throw so many short passes. Sure all of these sound like "excuses" to make up for poor play but surrounding your Franchise Qb with legit talent is a real thing in the NFL. Every team does it. I've asked this question a ton on this board and no one has been able to answer it, maybe you can? Which QB in the NFL is being asked to do more with less than Bryce Young currently?
  15. If you're adding Daltons almost 60 attempts in 1 game, sure. Bryce averages about 36 attempts per game through 5 games which would put him about 7th in the NFL. Still I'm not sure how this is relevant to your point if anything it speaks even more volume about Bryce. Throwing it that much with the worst collection of receiving talent in the NFL and he's still completing 63% of his passes is again, pretty remarkable.
  16. Not a single one of our WRs is even league average. That is unacceptable period. And for the record Bryce still completes passes. He's completed 20+ passes in every single game he's played despite the worst collection of WR talent in the NFL. Pretty remarkable.
  17. I don't think he needs top tier talent at all he just can not have the league worse or close to it. AT is 33 years old and is averaging 72.8 receiving yards per game including 2 100 yard games with Bryce (left out the game he had with Dalton). He had 0 such games last year in what many would deem a better offense and a better QB throwing him the ball. Young is revitalizing his career kind of like Cam did with Steve Smith. If we had more WRs getting open, an oline that could block well consistently, and a solid running game like we had today we wouldn't be 0-6 and Young would look a lot better than he has so far, but that's not reality nor will it get much better this season. I fully expect a much better year next year when it comes to Bryce. Not so sure we don't make some coaching/FO changes in the mean time though.
  18. I don't think Drew Brees in his 6th game in his rookie year would have faired much better tbh.
  19. So when Trevor had 9 games of no passing TDs his rookie year and several 100 yard outing losses people were all clamoring about his physical ability to throw the football? I don't believe that to be accurate. And to your other statement, there is no problem with being upset about the current state of the franchise and voicing your displeasure. You think I'm happy we are 0-6 with Brian Burns still on the roster and no 1st rounder next year? Of course not but I'm not going to poo all over our rookie QB who very clearly needs time to develop and upgrades around him like the poster I referenced does. Like I said earlier there are QBs that are currently playing worse than Bryce but are still winning games. What does that say? A lot of those people I was talking about make such baseless generalizations and claims and like to "stir the pot" while we are losing only to jump on the bandwagon and act like nothing happened or was said when we start to win. Those are what we call "Fair weather" fans and they are some of the worst fans in all of sports
  20. It's not what most people here want to hear but it's the truth. Bryce has had his ups and downs but I truly believe he's had more ups than downs so far this season. The offense and team in general haven't done him many favors. There are QBs who are playing worse than young yet are still winning games. That should tell people the problems with this team are deeper than the QB situation
  21. I mean imagine if Young had that dudes coaching and supporting cast. Would be a whole lot less crying and complaining around here that's forsure
  22. Unfortunately there are a lot of mrcompletely11s running around on this board currently. If this team ever starts to win again they will slowly begin to disappear and instead of reading the annoying drivel in every thread it will fade like a soft whisper. Just gotta give it time.
