  1. FWIW I've been following Ohio State football since the late 70's and I think he's the greatest receiver OSU has had in that time and never a hint of a problem. In fact, he pushed his teammates to be better. He has Hall of Fame written all over him. Damn the media.
  2. My Carolina mock draft via PFF. Thoughts?
  3. Trade your better veterans to create cap space and acquire draft picks and pick some quality OL in the 24' draft. Then tank the 24' season. By 26' Carolina should have the pieces to compete.
  4. It's not easy to project which college quarterbacks will find success in the league. It seems that mortgaging the farm to trade up for a QB hasn't been a fruitful investment for a lot of teams.
  5. I was unable to paste and copy it here. Sorry. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/wide-receiver/?ref=trending-pages
  6. As an Orlando Magic fan, I can absolutely relate to supporting a team owned by people who incompetently meddle in player acquisitions.
  7. I enjoy watching sports and I root for my teams, but it's not life and death. My team winning won't bring back a passed loved one. My happiness in life is not predicated on a sports team's success, or lack thereof.
  8. I think many Carolina fans are overreacting with negativity. They knew this was a development year. They also knew that this team had a lot of needs that were't going to be filled this year. Obviously Carolina MUST make solid picks in next year's draft (sucks not having a #1) and, I presume, there is plenty of salary cap space to sign some quality free agents. Carolina will be better next year. In two years Carolina may very well be able to compete for a division title and a playoff berth. In the meantime, hang in there!
  9. New England, whom the Commanders just beat, might be worse.
  10. I think CJ inherited a number of advantages that Bryce lacks. One, COACHING. I think Houston's brain trust is far better than Carolina's. Two, Houston has more weapons, which Carolina clearly lacks. And three, I think CJ inherited a better OL, although it has been banged up much of the year. The only reason I joined this site was because I was SURE that Carolina traded up to take CJ. There have been successful QB's who had bad rookie years. The fact is that Carolina is just a BAD team. Carolina will get a softer schedule next year and an upgrade of talent, in spite of not having a first round pick.

  12. I remember before the draft there was a massive amount of debate about which QB to take. I think we're seeing that both can be successful in this league, which is saying a lot, considering all of the highly-drafted QB's that routinely bust.
  13. I've been telling some of the gents here that, while Carolina has issues, Bryce Young isn't one of them. This was a nice win for the program and for Bryce. It was fitting with the "Ring of Honor" celebration there today. The good news for you guys is that you have your QB and in the offseason and draft you can focus on improving other positions.
  14. I think they had comparable games. The defenses were dominant. Houston Passing C.J. Stroud TEAM C/ATT YDS TD INT SACKS 16/24 140 0 0 2-21 16/24 119 0 0 2-21 Carolina Passing Bryce Young TEAM C/ATT YDS TD INT SACKS 22/31 235 1 0 6-55 22/31 180 1 0 6-55
  15. Congratulations gents and congratulations to Bryce Young. That kid is tough and he's a baller!
  16. Certainly in this game. He's not previously had this issue. Credit to your defense.
  17. Bryce is looking great! He's outplayed CJ at this point.
  18. Wait a minute. Is it true that Tepper participates in coaches meetings? https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/frank-reich-david-tepper-panthers-engage-bryce-young-force-video-reaction
  19. There is no guarantee that Caleb will be a good NFL QB. A lot of great college QB's have failed in the NFL while lesser-known guys became starters. Jordan Love. Brock Purdy. Demond Ridder. Etc.
  20. Tepper should be a good owner by leaving management of the Panthers to the professionals and remaining quiet and hands-off. But, it doesn't seem that he's going to do that.
  21. Youth movement. Trade some established veterans in exchange for multiple draft picks while also clearing cap space. The trade deadline is October 31st. Acquire key pieces via free agency and find value picks in next year's draft. If management can do a good job in those regards then I believe Carolina can be a legitimate contender by the 25' season. It's not happening this year and probably not next year either although Carolina should be improved.
  22. I tend to agree with you but I sincerely hope that Bryce proves us wrong and wins one for Carolina. That may sound strange or insincere but it's not. I really do like Bryce and I hope that he achieves great success.
