I would like that more than drafting Tet to be honest..

I wouldnt say that Allen has a ton of weapons. He had Diggs (4 years). But we also had Smitty (3 years), Olsen, JStew, Williams and CMC. I would also argue that our defense was better in general as well.

I agree with you on the drive comment. That said I would also say that Cam was pretty immature when he came into the league and handled losing poorly. I also dont blame him. He basically dominated at every level and never lost games. Coming into the league and playing on the worst team... yeah that's got to be hard to deal with.

I was scrolling through and was surprised that people here didnt take the headline bait...then I read this..

This made me laugh cause this is 100% true.. Jake was like a 24-32 ranked QB in the league. Like if you could upgrade you would. But he was also beloved because he was like 'your dad' playing QB.. I also only started watching the Panthers when he was the QB so he holds a lot of nostalgia for me.. but you are right.. lets not forget that when he was here we always wanted to move on from him.

Fair enough. We are not immune to it obviously either.

2015 was a special year for so many reasons.. But Cam was hands down the league's MVP.

This is what drives me bonkers. Maybe it's cause race is such an issue down south but I dont know why ever time someone is a critic on Cam its always met with a 'wink wink' "you dont like him cause he's black" type comment. Nothing to do with the actual point they are making.. This seems to also come into the conversation when on this site we talk about favorite QB's and people take Delhomme over Cam.. Maybe some people just liked Delhomme better...

People get all butt hurt over Cam.. Two things can be true. 1. Cam was the best QB we ever had as a franchise and was an elite dual threat for a time in the NFL. 2. Cam was a below average passer of the football.

Dude its not an insult... he was a professional QB.. We are allowed to pick out his flaws. I watched literally every game Cam ever played for us. I loved the dude... but lets not forget that he was a bottom half passer in the league almost every year. Cam could throw 50+ yards on a rope... but he also threw his 5 yard in routes like that as well. I think the only year I saw him start to throw with touch was the year that he got hurt. That was the only year that I saw a legit improvement in his passing game. He threw a better deep ball than most QB's but the short and intermediate that required touch, timing and placement he struggled with - his entire career. That is not saying he never threw with touch or timing. He was a professional QB... but compared to the rest of the league, he was not an elite thrower.

Cam was a better runner. Allen is a better thrower. But this isn't an even trade. Allen is a decent runner but is a much better thrower. Cam was a great runner but a poor thrower. I dont think this is controversial.

I see nothing wrong with that.

I would be giddy if this is how the draft fell to us.. not sure that would be my pick though.

We need to keep this o-line intact.

I like Tremble and would like to see him have another year in this system. I cannot imagine he would cost much.

And its all about trends. This year was the year of the RB. So teams the beefed up the lines were having success. Previously is was all about speed speed speed. LB's used to be the most important position in football and now they are almost an after thought. I still remember the year of Double Trouble. The league was obsessed with 3-4 fast LB's and fast DT's. We loaded up on big OL guys, FB's and we pounded the rock. This was the one year that I felt like we were in front of the curve.

Thats true but I think its easier to find LB's in a 3-4 than it is to find DE's in a 4-3..

I dont think this is news. The team obviously didnt forget to book an appointment.

BY just looks way more mature than AR15 at that age.
