  1. It's the truth though. There's no such thing as a sure thing in the draft. Great prospects bust and largely overlooked prospects become diamonds in the rough every year.
  2. Solid move. You can't have All-Pros everywhere and this signing means we're not desperate at the position. That's all I'm really looking for our of FA. Don't go into the draft with obvious positions of pure desperation.
  3. Wouldn't be surprising to see him back in Philly backing up Saquan. Their #2 RB had less than 300 yards and averaged under 4ypc.
  4. How does it indicate a lack of preparation? You have your allotted time on the clock. Pulling a Gettleman and submitting your pick instantly may signal bravado and confidence but all it really means is that you didn't explore all options available.
  5. We'll find out on the field. Every year there seems to be little correlation between "winning" the off-season and winning games when the season starts.
  6. If you lose your job to Daniel Jones it's already over anyway. LOL
  7. Yeah, it's a deep RB class. Take advantage of it. There will be a number of day three RBs out of this draft class who will be solid NFL contributors.
  8. I'd say Geno simply based on the overall situations. The Seahawks look to be going full rebuild except for signing Darnold but we've seen what Darnold does on a bad team where he's forced to try to carry the load and it's UGLY. Fields to the Jets on paper just seems like a really odd match with their new OC who was the passing game coordinator under Ben Johnson in Detroit. Nothing about Fields' skill set and that type of offensive approach matches up. So by process of elimination I'm left with Geno.
  9. Unless completely mortgage the future of the franchise to trade a fortune to move up. Because that's also a thing that we do here. LOL
  10. Taking any potential options off the board is the dumbest poo in the world. Sometimes you're on the clock and don't see great value on the board and if the phone is ringing with offers that you see more value in than the talent available then you're crazy to just pick a player because that what we do here in this organization!
  11. I mean, I'm not saying CMC definitely won't remain effective beyond 30 but the history of the position is the history of the position.
  12. It's true. CMC is also creeping up on the dreaded 30 for RBs.
  13. Really deep RB draft too. Jeanty and Hampton are clearly the top two but there's a lot of quality behind them.
  14. Like I said, hopefully he was just a late bloomer but sudden jumps in production in contract years rarely hold up in future years.
  15. This is the type of guy that scares me. Undersized and was basically a low level rotational guy until finally showing up in a contract year. Hopefully he was just a late bloomer but he looks like the prototype FA bust.
  16. You need backups too. Right now we don't even have that. LOL
  17. They better spam picks at OL like Dave Gettleman did at CB after yanking the tag off Norman
  18. Meanwhile, a year after going to the Final Four NCSU fired Kevin Keatts.
  19. We've fielded some pretty trash safeties, but man... THAT guy...
  20. I'm not broke up about not paying a DL $28M per year especially given that the draft is DEEP in DL this year.
  21. About to see the Darnold of old in that situation. Good for him for cashing in on a good season in a great situation.
  22. Typical Panthers safety. I don't know why we want undersized LBs playing safety in today's NFL.
