  1. We've been trying. We would've traded for Watson already if he'd sign off on it. We went hard after Stafford. We'll probably go hard after Watson again (and be told no again). We'll inquire about Rodgers and Wilson only to get laughed at. Then we'll trade for Jimmy G.
  2. I think Tepper is just embarrassed about it at this point and fears he'll fug up just as bad next time so he's just going to stay silent and hide. I hope his kickball team does every bit as badly to further put the spotlight on his incompetent pro sports management.
  3. Agreed on the value of rookie contracts but our cap situation will be fine if we stop throwing money away on terrible QBs and terrible FA OL.
  4. Who may or may not turn out to be any good. Keep in mind, Brian Burns and Kenny Pickett are basically the same age. DJ Moore is younger than Pickett.
  5. This is reminiscent of the "hope" last year that Darnold's issues were all due to Adam Gase and the Jets. We were getting a steal on a franchise QB and he'd go downfield and put the ball in the endzone unlike Teddy. How's that working out?
  6. This. The frustrating part is that Tepper knows this. He said coming in the door that this is a .500 league and to break out of that you need three pieces - a coach, a GM, and a QB. Everything else is a want. Those are the three that you NEED. Yet he still hired Matt Rhule who had always won with good defense and "good enough" offense. He's sat on his ass while Rhule has spent most of his roster building capital on defense. He's watched Rhule overspend on shitty QBs. But he's hanging onto him because it's all going to work out when we draft a QB who is a former Rhule recruit and who went to Tepper's alma mater. It's all of these reasons and more why my hope for and interest in this team is at an all-time low. There are just no signs that this crew knows how to win in the NFL.
  7. Tepper comes to his senses and fires Matt Rhule. Other than that... yeah, that's about it. I'd love Howell here for the future but as long as Rhule is here we're gonna suck.
  8. I'd shop CMC just due to his injury issues. I'd beg anyone to take Robby Anderson off our hands.
  9. If you lose Burns and Reddick you just went from one of the better pass rushes in the NFL to one of the worst.
  10. All we gotta do is stop paying terrible QBs and OL then we could actually keep all of our good young talent. It's not like we have a ton of those guys.
  11. Look at how the Lions did with Stafford. We're a Lions level organization at this point. And that's exactly why Stafford didn't want to be here.
  12. Where's the Greg Little in this draft? A guy with some long ass arms and nothing else to offer seems right up Rhule's alley.
  13. I get it. I didn't watch our last 3-4 games. There's to much good football being played to willfully limit oneself to watching bad football.
  14. I'm honestly past caring. The Panthers have obviously been through their ups and downs over the years but this is easily the most defeated and hopeless I've felt about the organization as a whole as a fan.
  15. Did he recruit Slater at Temple or Baylor? That seems to trump analytics. Meanwhile, it's worth pointing out that Pickett fumbled 26 times during his college career.
  16. If Kenny Pickett had hands the size of catcher's gloves I still wouldn't want him.
  17. I'm still hoping beyond hope he'll hire someone like Colbert as a consultant to help him build an actual NFL football organization then he'll GTFO of their way and let them run the football operations while he occupies himself with the business side of the house.
  18. The Super Bowl champs have players older than me. Part of the reason I'm so pissed off is that I expected exactly what we got with Sam Darnold and I'm baffled why Panthers brass expected something else. Also... if you think you're reaching kids and teenagers by posting on Facebook then your social media team is as dumb as your football staff
  19. He'd be kissing one of these while he watched the game from his couch.
  20. Yep. The Bengals are a terrible organization and basically completely lucked into an elite franchise QB and the best rookie WR anyone has ever seen. That's the type of luck it would take for us and that's assuming Tepper gets our coaching situation fixed. So yeah...
  21. They should read the room and just STFU right now or post something congratulatory to the Rams or something. Not really feeling some bullshit little attempt at humor video after watching a game that we seem very, very far away from actually having a chance to compete in.
