  1. Bryce and Leaf are the two opposite sides of the same coin. Bryce has all the mental tools and mindset but lacks the physical tools. Leaf lacked the mental tools and mindset but had all the physical talent. If you could combine the best of both you'd have an elite franchise QB, but as they are they're busts. The part everyone keeps looking past is that Bryce already has the elements that can be developed. He lacks the part you gotta be born with.
  2. Tepper will be heading to rehab or Nicole will be spearheading some type of mental health initiative. Some type of bullshit to run cover for the failures and the embarrassment of the drink throwing.
  3. I have a 1995 Land Cruiser that will probably hit 400k toward the end of the year.
  4. Bryce Young is a Smart car. Tiny, terrible performance measurables, but the owners think they're super innovative and ahead of the curve while everyone else laughs at them. Except at least a Smart car is capable of going the speed limit. Bryce is a Smart car speed limited at about 35mph and he's out there on I-85 with 18 wheelers flying by at 80.
  5. People are just frustrated because we've been waiting for him to take the next step and become elite. He has the ability. He really doesn't seem to have developed at all as a player and the same can be said for the majority of the roster. It just comes down to whether or not Burns is worth the cap hit of the contract he's wanting and IMO it's an easy answer. He's not. He's a good speed rusher who is a liability against the run. That's what he's always been and it's likely what he'll always be at this point. People are also frustrated that we turned down that big trade offer and let Reddick walk when he actually is the player we've all hoped Burns would become. Those two factors aren't Burns' fault but he ends up the target of a lot of that frustration. Personally I have some frustration in that I think a lot of our thought process behind the 3-4 switch was to unleash Burns and IMO he's actually taken a step back this year. I mean, he's been practically non-existent in the second half of the season. He just ain't that dude. He's a piece of a puzzle, not a cornerstone and he wants to be paid like an elite cornerstone. Hard pass.
  6. People forget that Foles caught lightning in a bottle in that SB run. Was he a great QB long-term? No, absolutely not. But he was a great QB during that SB run.
  7. Sure he has. And he still ain't worth anywhere near $30M per.
  8. Yeah, Belichick has always low key been a bad GM. They've drafted poorly for years. It was vets coming aboard on ring chasing discounts that saved them.
  9. Also, I need to issue an apology to former UNC DB coach (and former great UNC CB) Dre Bly. I thought he was the issue with our secondary. He clearly wasn't.
  10. Yeah, Chizik out as DC at UNC. Let's see who the replacement is.
  11. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/receiving#avgYAC Deebo is #1 in the league in YAC per reception. Kittle is #4. It looks like they don't include RBs in the numbers but you can guarantee CMC is right there too.
  12. Watch the games. Every QB in the modern NFL gets a ton of YAC yards as screens have largely replaced a lot of the outside running game. Where Purdy gets significantly more yardage than other QBs is on the intermediate routes. Shanahan does a great job of scheming up crossing routes that create opportunities for YAC. His scheme is brilliant. I don't see any other offense getting the type of YAC that SF does on their passing beyond the LOS.
  13. Yep. YAC kings. Brock Purdy is who he is in large part because of the best YAC duo in the NFL in CMC and Deebo. Little is one of the best YAC TEs too. Bryce is the opposite of what Tepper and company thought. He's not a guy who lifts his weapons up. He's a guy who has to be carried by his weapons. That's fine if your QB was a late round draft pick but it's a huge blunder when you traded up to #1 overall for him.
  14. This is a point I've been making for awhile. Tepper has to come to grips with the reality that David Tepper the owner would've fired David Tepper the President of Football Operations several times by now. He has to essentially fire himself from his current role and carve out a new role for himself within the organization, one where his influence is minimal on the football side of the house.
  15. And to think, before Tepper bought the team we were actually closing in on .500
  16. Tepper is a classless piece is poo and so are his defenders. So...
  17. Could be a possibility. They wouldn't have to fall far back, that's for sure.
  18. If they draft Harrison Jr. #1 overall they're dumb as hell. If they're not taking a QB they need to put that pick on the auction block.
  19. I'd be shocked. I just can't see Tepper giving up on his super processing PG so quickly but it would be an encouraging sign. It'd suck for Fields though. Bears to the Panthers. That's jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. The dumpster fire that is.
  20. He has a disappointing second year. Other than that he's been damn good. I hope were saying the same about Icky in a couple years.
  21. Pay Brown, tag and trade Burns. No, you're not gonna get anywhere close to what the Rams offered for him. That shop has sailed. But he's not the type of defender you can pay like he's one of the best defenders in the NFL, because he's just not. He's never taken that next step to become consistent and put the same effort in on running downs. If you wanna be paid like you're elite be elite.
  22. Not familiar with him but it'd be hard to do worse than David Tepper.
  23. Nah, I think he's a very good WR prospect but no I don't think he's a generational talent. I mean, I'd take a guy like Odunze and a haul of other assets for that #1 overall pick all day everyday over Harrison Jr.
  24. I feel like someone should write a high profile article outlining how Tepper can't move the Panthers and get some traction going on it. Tepper's the kind of guy who'd look to move the team just out of spite to show that he can. Modern problems require modern solutions. He can take his fuging kickball team and bro country concerts with him.
