I know it probably won't seem so bad in a few years, but 47M is a tough number to swallow. I can remember when we were paying peppers $16 million for one season and thinking that was insane!

2 1st round picks is what I saw.

Not sure how invasive these procedures are now. I know folks who have bounced back very quick, but they were not blocking 250+ pound professional athletes.

AT's been a stand-up guy for us. From what I'm seeing it looks like he wanted this to happen to go home to Minnesota. If you count the delayed year, basically we got two fifth round pics this year. But that fourth round pick will come in handy in 27. We did right by him, and got some assets.

I didn't see any DET preseason games. Bummer to hear for the kid.

Hendon Hooker was released by DET. I liked him coming out a couple of years ago.

The trade we need to make right now per Enzo Flojo

In fairness to Pitts, they use him completely wrong. He is absolutely a matchup nightmare, but ATL trot him out there at as an inline TE in 21 or a slot wr in 11 personnel. They take all the mystery out of his role in the play. A competent OC could get much more out of him. Use him more in 12 personnel, where you can motion him around to exploit those matchups. They would never trade him to us, but I would love Pitts in this TE room. -
Level Of Enthusiasm Going into Game 1

15 of 10!!! I will be there in Jacksonville, so that may have something to do with it! Soooo Pumped!! -
I don't know how anybody can be upset with this. He's been our most consistent OL starter for years. I'm all for paying the OL. I don't remember where I saw it, but Robert Hunt was talking about this is the first time he's ever had the full o-line come back from the prior year. This is huge for continuity.

All-22 Review of the first team offense vs. Houston
ChuckWag78 replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
I had to watch the Houston broadcast and they were slurping Stingley hard after that "PBU". I thought I was taking crazy pills, because I saw the same thing you did. -
My hope for an ending to the musical chairs at kicker is waning

Butler was a miss, no other way to say it. Gano was asked for a lot of money (relatively for a K). Letting him walk was the right move at the time. -
Our LB room looking very thin. Rozeboom and Wallace here we go.

Right. I don't disagree with what you are saying, but let's just use Bam Martin-Scott as the example. He ideally is looking for a LB needy team where he can possibly latch on to longer term. We check that box. So if we check that box AND are giving double what the next team is why wouldn't he come here? This is where we can blow the competition out of the water, say someone like Cincinnati. They have a very cheap owner, because he doesn't have a lot of spending cash, who can't "throw away" this type of money on UDFAs. Everything comes down to a risk/reward analysis. For us, the risk for these high guarantees is the lost money, which Tepper can throw around a lot more than most owners. We should consistently be getting the pick of the litter, at areas of need, for UDFAs because everyone wins. We get the players we want at camp and they get a bit of security with larger guarantees.
-
Now this is where some of you need to give Tepper his due. His money is why we can give these types of guarantees to USDA with, such seemingly, disregard. Only the top 51 roster spots count toward the cap for a given year, so any money thrown toward UDFAs is 100% a lure to get them here. It is absolutely a competitive advantage his billions bring this team.

And which one of ours picks hasn't signed yet...
