  1. Their velocity isn't measured during the televised throwing period. It's done separately somewhere else. The posted velocity is the official combine measurement. Argue with them.
  2. When they measure velocity they base it on an average of 3 throws, I think, could be 5. Each qb decides how he throws it. It's not taken from passes in a game. So basing on an "eye test" takes out bias. It's measured by a radar gun in a controlled environment.
  3. It's apparent that many have not looked at his test results. I paid very close attention to those measurable before the draft. Even though he didn't throw before the camera at the combine he did throw to measure his velocity and it was only 2 mph less than CJ's. Of course AR had the strongest arm but only beat CJ by 1 mph. So it's not a velocity issue. I hate that i have to come to the guys defense but if people are going to make bold statements at least get the facts straight.
  4. There's only about 5 or 6 elite qbs in the league. Finding one is pure luck.
  5. Well he's not as strong as the other guys drafted in his draft but has not as weak as being let on. I think the difference in his velocity compared to his piers in the draft was only a couple of mph. Nothing earth shattering to say the least.
  6. You don't know that either. Everyone assumes that what it means. Just because that was Frank's plan doesn't mean that is what Dave will do. It could be but I would not assume that.
  7. He better come up with something better than that. If not he may not be around long enough to draft his own qb.
  8. If he knew that then why did he not stand up to Fitterer before he came out a said who he was taking? It's hard for me to accept that Frank knew that and kept his mouth shut behind closed doors. It's hard for me to accept that Tepper would have forced the situation knowing the coach he just hired was not on board. If he did do that then he cannot blame Frank other than if Frank just revolted and said screw it and deliberately sabatoged the season and Young just because he didn't get his way. No, Frank was on board. He just couldn't pull it off. The all-stat staff was just name recognition only. There wasn't much to that bs. Frank's downfall was his own making.
  9. I doubt the later happens myself but I'm not about to say it can't happen. It's unlikely but anythingpossible. I doubt it will be reminiscent of the Texans turn around last season for a number of reasons. If that is your expectation then you will be disappointed. I honestly don't know what to expect. There's been a lot of turnover and for good reason. There's a lot of new moving parts that have to click. Dave has to prove he knows how to coach and design a successful offense. Really all I'm hoping for is a better showing than what we've seen so far. I will evaluate the moving parts as the season progresses and I would advise everyone else to do the same.
  10. I really don't know what it's going to look like. If you are expecting Young to carry the offense then you will probably be disappointed. The plan according to what Canales has said is to have a balanced offense. What that is going to look like I don't think anyone but a select few know right now. I just hope it's not reminiscent of the garbage we saw last season. It has to be better right, right?
  11. You don't know that. His goal is to make him play to the best of his abilities. That is what he's said all along. Whether it helps to win games has yet to be seen. Canales has to also build a team and offense good enough to win no matter who's behind center. If he can do that he will be around to get whoever he feels is better to run it. He's not tied to Young but he still has to build a complete team and offense.
  12. Canales will get the chance to establish an offense around what strengths he thinks Bryce has. He's obligated, or directed to do that this season. If it looks bad this season then Morgan will have to decide if Dave gave it an honest attempt before he gets the chance to do it around the qb of his choosing. That's how I see this all playing out.
  13. They were not blindsided by anything. They knew everything about all of those qb's. To say he was blindsided is just ridiculous. He spent all his time before the draft reviewing tape on all of them. Met in-person with all of them and had them in for workouts. How on earth would he not know what Young could or could not do? No, he knew what he was getting. He just couldn't build an offense around what he had. That is on him.
  14. I've said this same poo for at least before the season was over. It was FUBAR from the jump. It took me some time before I could believe what I was seeing. It was so bad it looked deliberate. I've never seen it go so wrong for one team for as long as I can remember at least. I'm not sure it could get any worse than it was with that group.
  15. I'm intrigued by the Irish kicker they brought in. I watched his interview on the Panthers YouTube channel just now. I hope he makes it just so I can say "Get the Irishman" when we need to kick a field goal.
  16. You did indeed. I've got to stop drunk posting.
  17. I wouldn't get attacked to this guy. As a matter of fact I wouldn't get attacked to anyone just yet.
  18. I could have predicted that we play the Bucs week 1.
  19. Why do you guys do this to yourself? Nevermind, don't answer that. How many ways are you going to come up with to prove Bryce was bad last year? As if anyone doesn't know that already. I think that fact has already been proven. I wish you all would find something else to lament about for a change. I'm afraid you will not make it to preseason at this rate.
