The poster should take Darin Gantt's job. This is the best and truly honest game summary that I've seen in a very long time. That's the game I watched and came away thinking the same thing. Get this man, woman, or who/whatever, a media pass asap!

It's like a tragic, comedy story made into a movie. I hate to see an injury, but it's hard for me to have sympathy for him or the Jets. I even get sadistic chuckle under my breath about the sport media because all I've heard offseason is nothing but Rodgers and will he or won't he sign with the Jets. Then when he did it was how many SBs were they going to win. If he's out very long I fear the world may end for NYC and the Jets. Someone is about to lose their job if he's out for the season.

I think Dallas is peaking too early. No team can play like that for very long. Dak is no Cam Newton and will eventually implode by mid-season. They will come back down to earth just as they always do.

That's disturbing news. We should hire her to be a RB scout because ours seems to be looking in the wrong places.

This is the long term a league wide result from reducing the preseason to three games. It's basically turning the 1st game of the season into a modified version of the old 4th preseason game that counts. Some teams are choosing to use the preseason to do a more detailed look at roster depth and new acquisitions. Those teams put more time in practice on the starters. The Panthers have done that this offseason. I guess the results will vary from team to team and whether they do not have that problem. If you haven't noticed league wide very few starters play that much in the preseason.

He played like a 1st round guard in his first NFL game. That's impressive.

They were able to run the ball better over right guard than left. This kid has some serious potential.

We are only without a 1st round pick next draft. If he doesn't work out we will be high enough in the 2025 draft to take another shot with our 1st in that draft. I'm not sure where you get a half decade?

There were more deep threats in the league at the time. And the league hadn't turned into the passing league as it has now. You need a stable full of those guys now.

Frank has said numerous times in the offseason that he will call plays initially and at some point turn it over to Brown. I would say after the first game might be premature for him to make that decision. He will probably make that decision around the by-week break if I were guessing. That will ultimately come down to when he is comfortable that Thomas is ready and he no longer wants or needs to do it.

It would have been a TD. It was a game changing opportunity. Another one of those what could go wrong did go wrong.

Say we traded up and we drafted *insert qb name* and it doesn't work out, how far are we set back should have been asked before the offseason. This is how that works. You take a shot, just like everyone was screaming for and you live with it. You won't know until you know. It certainly isn't the first damn game of the season you dolt.

It just looked like whatever could go wrong did go wrong. We beat ourselves really. From timing to turnovers and penalties, you name it. We won every statistical category but the scoreboard. I hate to borrow a phrase from Ron but it was truly missed opportunities all game long.

He missed Mingo on the 20 yarder that he was wide open, not sure what quarter it was. The miss to TMJ was the 40 yard pass TMJ pulled up on. These young WRs have to learn to finish their routes even when they think the ball is not coming to them. Bryce can actually get past his second read so they better be ready on every series. It's just a communication thing they're going to have to work on.

It was. It just didn't happen according to Frank. I think he said they ended up calling 4 or 5 but they only were able to throw 2 of those and missed both. That would have changed the game if they connected on at least 1 of those.

Nice spread. Got to work on those chunk plays though. They've got to work on the routing running and communication between Bryce and the receivers. It will get better in time.
