Looking back at the prior staff (as opposed to now)

This kind. -
So people with so called credentials didn't make stuff up until Elon bought it? Right.
-
Don't pay any attention to mock drafts this early in the offseason brother.

Quite a contrast wouldn't you say? -
I agree on the so called professionals. I never listen to me media blowhards about anything. Some of the retired players and scouts can be fairly close on their rankings but they are not perfect. You can use those guys to get a general sense of where these kids are viewed initially but it varies. You can get an overall average ranking if you average the better ones. It's all just a guess anyway.
-
You're asking me? I don't know who he is and sure he's pulling things out of his ass. He just stating the obvious right now. Everything is a smokescreen until the draft. I'm going off the player rankings just like everyone else and right now in the eyes of the so called professionals there's little difference between Stroud and AR. Don't blame me blame the scouts.
-
-
That doesn't surprise me that he's not ahead of those 2. I does surprise me that AR could go before Stroud. I've seen them ranked very closely together though so who knows.

Jimmy corrected me. I was mistaken.
-
I stand corrected. Carry on.

I'm not sure it's a league rule for certain but it has something to do with making the future pick be determined on the trading teams record and not the team it was originally traded from or some weird accounting trick.
-
He also said he can adjust his system to his qb.
-
We would have to use our future 1st round picks not the Rams. We could not trade those in this year's draft unless the rules have changed. But we would have the Rams picks for ourselves or possibly trade them in the draft of the year we received them for. If that makes sense?

This will most likely happen. We need someone familiar with Reich's system.
-
This is what scenario I was thinking that could happen. In essence Carr would be insurance in the event the rookie you draft just doesn't have it to be the guy. Now it's not something I would consider as a first choice. It would be a plan C consideration to kick around.
-
The only way Carr comes here is if he knows and accepts that his replacement is incoming this season or the next. If he wants to be the guy for years then it's not happening here. You can bet on that.

How will this coaching team effect free-agency?
Jon Snow replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not saying it impacts nfl players. Just pointing out that not everyone looks at it that way. -
If that's what he wants then the Panthers are out. They might, might consider 3 years with incentives baked in. If he's looking for more than that I doubt we are seriously interested.
-
Big picture? I don't think it changes the big picture plans at all. It would just give them a little breathing room to get the rookie pick right.
-
It's hard to get a guage on what Fitterer has planned for the position. I hesitate to think that Carr really changes anything they have/had planned but ya never know. He he's definitely been better than anyone we've had since Cam. If it happens I think the contract he's given will tell us a lot about how long they think they will need for these rookies I suppose.
-
I'm getting the feeling that this may be how it shakes out in the end.
-
Trading up without knowing your guy is certain to be there is not realistic. If you get stuck there after giving up a ton of picks without getting your guy will get everyone fired.
-
I agree the FA is going to effect this draft when it comes to QB. Where Rpsges goes will cause projection adjustments league wide. Carr may not depending where he goes in the nfcs, if that is where he goes. If the Ravens flip LJ for a butt load of picks look for them to work out a trade with the Bears if they can. If they do flip him I hope it's not to us.
-
Still don't like it. Giving more than one top 10 pick for any of these qb's is too rich for my taste. None are worth more than that to risk giving up for.
