Well they do need a backup and they have 3 to choose from. So why not see if one of them has something to work with? Yes they all have a shelf life but so does every backup in the league. It's a business decision and I agree with it whether the huddle can take it or not. It told you all the everyone is auditioning for next year and that includes the FO.

Pretty much. I was never a fan of overdrafting a player out of desperation. I could see it play out similar to the last draft in some respect. But the college season is not over yet. Anything can happen between now and the draft. In our case it's guaranteed to be pure bedlam around here.

I'm loving this new oline group. Campen has worked wonders turn that group around. I honestly would hate to see him go.

Who says you can't do both? Take the best player, if it's a defense end so be it. If there's not a clear cut QB in the top 3 or even the top 10 you have options. You could trade back into the bottom 3rd of the 1st for the QB that you took the defensive player over. In other words, if there's not an obvious day 1 starting QB in the class that you have a realistic shot at you go defensive end if there is one or a LT. We currently have a LT. Now for the QB? That's going to depend on the head coach come draft day. By then we may get a clue as to how much capital will be spent to get a qb.

No to Wilks as DC. He's not good at it.

I seem to remember a few pro Rhule folks on here back during the coaching search the last time. There's always a contingent of huddlers screaming for the flavor of the month coaching candidates. It will be no different this time around and will not end well for them.

It's like 2 chickens fighting over a junebug...and neither can catch it.

I'm sure glad we have all you head coach identifying experts in here. Maybe next time you guys can help Tepper pick a winner so that we are spared another 7 year process.

The draft is such a crap shoot that I never worry about it. I could care less about any prospect and where they end up. It will be what it will be. My enjoyment comes from watching them play, if they do. I usually can forecast their empact to our team if we pick them but that is the extent of my interest.
