I would be the happiest drunk SOB in the joint. I would dance my ass off if he miraculously took this team to the NFC championship game... But then I woke up.

Panties are in a wad over a press conference that has no informational value to anyone on purpose. Grab the pitch forks because he didn't bash Sam.

Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements

Tepper is probably getting ready to sue RH for breach of contract. -
Something we have not seen in many moons.

"What are we doing in the draft" 2022 edition.

No fan want Sam. Some fans want Sam to start to rub it in Rhules face. They will probably get to see that unless Fitterer can pull a qb out of his ass. -
Potential yes, depth no. You would also be putting 2 essential rookies on the blind side. Not that the pros they had were any better but you get the idea. I think they start Elflein at LG to start the season if Christensen is starting at LT, like that will help. I hope they work in Brown as soon as possible.

Now let's not go crazy here. We are not set on the line by any means. That NC State kid is a mountain of a man that you cannot pass on.

Of course there are those that want to stick with Sam. That's only because of the choices we have been presented so far. I understand the logic behind it and I agree that it has merit given the most logical fate of next season. Call it tank or whatever but it is probably going to happen under a qb not named Sam Darnold anyway. -
Brown played LG the most in college. He's a massive beast of a man.

I would not go so far as to say he looked great. He looked serviceable at best. He wasn't helped by the sudden case of dropsy's the receivers came down with. But he's just never going to be a decent qb. -
It's wasted anyway. We need a backup as well as a starter so it's not a total loss.

Not a single Panthers fan wants to see Sam on the team much less start. What I'm saying is that 3 qbs are needed. Where are the other 2 coming from if you cut Sam? Lord knows I sure don't want Sam as one of them but let's be real here. -

In this case they may be forced to keep him because they don't have anyone else. It's gotten that bad. -
Well look at it this way, no matter who they draft this team needs talent. If Rhule takes a QB it only adds depth at a much needed position. If it's a tackle it adds depth at a much needed position. Neither will ultimately save Rhule's job next season. It's a win/win for the fans and the next regime.

I think Sam is here regardless of who is drafted. The only way I see him gone is if they draft AND sign/trade for another QB. -
Honestly I hope they pick one of these guys in this year's draft and one in next year's draft as well. In my dream scenario they would get a LT and a project qb for next season. Then trade with another bottom dweller like ourselves for their 1st in 2023. They would trade a player for that pick and position themselves to go after another promising qb. They would continue to do that until a franchise qb emerged among them. One can dream...

Flip them and you have a deal.

That's a great trait to have because he certainly will need it at the next level. These kids have not seen a fraction of the pressure they will see at this level. I'm not talking just about the pressure on the field either.
-
I'm with you on that. Willis is a huge gamble that may never pay off. Corral and Howell seem to have the best shot or should I say the odds favor them being an nfl caliber QB. But that's not a guarantee in the least. It takes so much more than talent to be an NFL qb.
-
Someone will take him in the 1st. I would almost bet he will go before Willis. I would take him over Pickett and Willis.
-
Howell has just as good of a shot to be a good to great QB as any of the other kids. His fate will somewhat be in the hands of the team that drafts him. I would prefer him over Mayfield and Jimmy G.
-
He also threw it inside where the defender can make a play. Look, I'm not trying to bash the kid. He's got talent like most of the QB's in this draft. He's also got issues that will need to be corrected or his fate will follow all big arm QB's drafted that never amount to anything.
