No, it was actually Snow that brought Darnold up when he was watching tape on the Jets. The team wasn't even considering Darnold until then.

He did say that when they hired Fitt he did so because he needed someone who could evaluate talent, whatever that's worth. I wonder if he will let someone actually do that over letting his gut feelings get in the way. Don't trust the gut.

Pretty much. Whatever could go wrong has gone wrong. The offense is FUBAR and the defense just flat out has given up out of exhaustion at this point. -
Rhule has to live with that blunder. I just hope he doesn't pull another one in a panic move. He needs to seriously reevaluate his entire team structure and get some nfl coaches on staff.

We're not suck with Darnold anyway. He has absolutely nothing to do with what they do at qb except ride him to the first overall pick. PJ could do that as well I suppose, but it's obvious the plan all along was to ride Sam to the playoffs or the first overall pick. I mean how could it not be when they didn't bring in a legitimate backup?
