How significant as you say will greatly depend on who is available and how lucky they get in the draft. Dan didn't do too well with the defensive additions this past offseason. I would call it a muh.

If Colorado didn't have a defense they would be blown out already.

You cannot expect to fix the defense with draft picks alone. A lot of that money is going to have to go to the defense. I agree we need wr help desperately. But not as desperately as the defense needs help.

You cannot fix this defense with one draft. Signing Higgins will eat up a lot of cap that we will need for other upgrades. It sounds good but not a wise move at our current state of being.

I'm torn on him. Granted we need a legit number 1 wr but we are just there yet. If the defense was a top 10 unit I might could go along with it. I think the prudent thing to do is look to the draft for a sure handed speedster in the later rounds this year and focus on the defense. We can revist this after next season to see where we are cap wise and maybe look at who's available in FA next year.

I guess so. This qb class is a mixed bag of some potential to just flat out disappointing.

It says to me that he wants to be picked before Sanders. Tape is more important for draft position than the Combine. The media will be pimping the Sanders gang full throttle leading up to the draft. Ward needs tape to offset that.

If it came down to Ward or Sanders I would take Ward. I think Ward has the mechanics and accuracy to make it. He needs to work on touch and anticipation to be successful in the nfl. That's if he has the mindset and dedication it will take to be successful.

50% completion rate under pressure will not cut it in the nfl. I've said that none of the qbs in this draft are impressive and that I would not draft any of them high myself. But teams are desperate and will start these guys before they are ready, if they ever will be.

When he has no pressure, sure. Under pressure? Not so much.
