0-5. No team stays healthy in the NFL for long. Plus our defense played very well in the three winnable games we had (ATL, NO, MIN) and we still lost each of them.

The difference is that Seattle front office knew how to evaluate talent. Shitterer has absolutely no clue what he’s looking at. We also don’t have marshawn lynch in the back field although we had a pretty good impression last year. If he wanted to be Seattle he should have made the Appaloser hire Wilks, a defensive minded coach who had the team playing smashmouth football .

For someone who gets paid a lot of money to evaluate people he sure is really awful at it. Did his mom get him a job in the NFL or something? I’m trying to figure out how he rose this high up the career ladder.

He fired a coach mid-season who had been here for like 9 years and then Rhule who should have never been brought back to begin with. No coach is getting fired 6 games into their first season. Reich has been awful so far but you can’t do that. He’s still respected in league circles and has to fail way worse than 0-6 to get canned. I think he’s safe if he gets 3 wins. 2 wins and he’s on the hot seat next year and faces a midseason firing. 0-1 wins and all bets are off. Fitterer’s fat ass should have been fired yesterday.

Shitterer must be borderline retarded. The “one player away” myth died in 2021 and yet this is about the 4th time he’s gone in on that idea.

We ran the play clock down to 0 every time. That has something to do with it.

Without naming the player a foolproof way to know if they suck is to simply ask “were they drafted by Scott Fitterer?”

I get that and those are issues that would plague any QB and keep us from truly contending. But right now I don’t see anything to give me optimism. It’s not passing the eye test for me in terms of athleticism, arm strength or ability to make plays.

Yes and there haven’t been flashes either. Making one or two off schedule throws in 3 full starts isn’t a “flash.” There’s yet to be even a single drive where it felt like he was taking advantage of a defense that was actively trying to stop him. I don’t count the drive against the saints prevent defense. What specifically have you seen?

I think everyone, including Bryce, knows that he’s not ready to lead an NFL offense.
