  1. This is going to be like that Hershel Walker to Minnesota trade--the one that built a dynasty--in Dallas.
  2. Forgot about them. They have experience with all-pro QBs who have been accused of sexual assault.
  3. I am under the impression that his contract gives him the power to veto any trade if he does not like it.
  4. Watson will want to go to Tampa Bay or New Orleans or maybe Indy, but the Texans will want to trade with the Panthers or Seahawks.

the issue about willis is on tepper's wrist. how much time has he given rhule? if 22 is the year he must produce, they will sell the farm for the prized cow (watson). (Just don't try to milk that cow--it gets him in trouble.)
  6. I am trying to work out the big picture--and the more I try, the more I don't like it. The Lions had a good QB for years and sucked--is that the goal?
  7. I know--they will (probably) have to trade some big contracts to make this work--Thompson? CMC?
  8. I dont mind the 3 first rounders--I mind the 3 first rounder plus a top player--however, without a QB you are nothing, and Watson puts us in hunt right now. We are going to go in strong---it could be Burns, 3 firsts and a second. We will not have a pick this year until the fourth round and we have little cap room. So Watson will have to play behind another makeshift OL again--I think we sign a LG, but the rest are on the roster (Christensen, LT, Elflein C, maybe Brown at RG---and Moton. That is an improvement, fwiw, on paper.
  9. If we trade for Watson, your Offensive Line: LT Christensen LG Free Agent (Norwell?) C Elflein RG D. Brown RT Moton
  10. You have to wonder if Tepper's loyalty to Watson throughout this ordeal will not be something that endears Watson to the Panthers a bit. I still say: 1. Tampa Bay 2. Carolina 3. New Orleans I feel that he will be in the NFC South
  11. They are going to do this--and we will not be able to stop the opposition, but we will have a qb on IR.
  12. Doesn't NC State offer a bachelor's degree in this?
  13. He is a popular player with the teammates---everyone likes him---locker room guy.
  14. SO we pass on fields and go after Liberty's starting QB. Seriously, I get it. Willis has a lot of tools, just not sure he will adjust to the NFL as we all hope. Fools gold?
  15. do not be surprised to see him playing mostly slot WR wherever he goes.
  16. It is a gamble, but not as much as signing a high-priced free agent coming off a great year. I see your point and you are not wrong.
  17. Me neither--Bold statement of the day: Luvu will make us not miss Reddick much. He is more versatile, imo and much cheaper.
  18. The panthers are positioning themselves to address the OL with a free agent G and/or C, Rhule hinted at moving BC to LT, and they will trade away some big salaries to be able to obtain Watson. That is the only way this team might become relevant in 1 year. The tea leaves are barking.
  19. Yes, but I think his apology needs to be heartfelt and followed by therapy. Not a tour--one time and put it behind you. Continuing to deny is probably what he will do.
  20. Taking a look at the Houston delimma--they have very few potential suitors. Watson has to be moved. They can wait until after free agency because the draft sucks. But they need to draft well, and foregoing a draft pick this year would be stupid. I say offer the #6 overall and the first rounder next year, and throw in Moore or Thompson or CMC. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE THE DEAL. They are simply trying to appear calm, when they are under pressure to move Watson before the end of April.
  21. I honestly think they are going to roll out with Tremble and Ian at TE--but I think I read somewhere that the Panthers were eyeballing some TEs at the SR bowl
  22. I think a lot of players rose during the combine--I think someone fell in love with a DT from Georgia, a CB from Cincy, a S from ND, maybe a WR from OSU---in addition to Neal at T---I think someone will be there worth trading up for. I could be wrong.
  23. Seriously--the #6 pick and another first plus Moore, for example, should get Watson here. I do not want him, but the #6 pick is as valuable as 2 late-first-round picks. We will use the cap to sign a G and another G or C, move BC to LT, and forget about the draft until the fourth round.
