I just checked a mock draft (today's date) and Willis was going to the Lions at #2. That is consistent with the banter on a few Detroit message boards. There was concern that Goff is better than Willis, but would not be by 2023. I see the Lions taking Willis at #2 or getting rich with draft picks from a team like the Steelers to move up.

I hope they like 3 equally-then trade back. Trade back--When the undrafted QBs on your top 3 list drop to 1, move up and grab him.
-
A few weeks ago or sooner, some of you were saying, "We ain't trading back. Who would trade up?" Funny how things work out. They will be fighting over these QBs like seagulls on the beach over a fish head.

To me--based on his pro day--hard to watch Liberty film when his receivers were not great and his OL was not great and the opposition was not great---he seems like the total package. Charisma, character, talent, etc. I mean, we took Cam #1 when, at the time, there were character concerns (laptop, entertainer and icon comment--which was true) and his accuracy was not great. Because of the Auburn offense, he was not reading the defense like an NFL QB---so no QB is excused from concern at this point. Having said that, Detroit is in a great position to grab their QB of the future. With Goff, they may not be picking in the top 5 again next year. They have a season or even two under Goff to work on Willis' game. While I think they take Hutchinson if he is there, how do you pass on QB?

I think I want Corral. Just putting it out there for the Huddle to absorb. After trading with the Steelers to move up.
-
The Giants, Jets, and Jags are jokes. Every year they get the best draft picks.
-
I personally think Darnold can't read defenses. He throws the slant--but on digs and outs--he seems lost a lot.
-
I am going by points--so you are possibly right--depends on the draft, I would think.
-
I know--used to be when I would gash my head on the rim, it would take a week to heal--now it takes a month. Damn this getting old!

I heard Willis was throwing to his first read all day.

A first and second this year, first next year should do it.

REPORT: Panthers are not interested in Baker Mayfield
MHS831 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Soon he will realize that the phone ain't ringing. -
The Panthers are in love with the Panther from Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh is in love with the Flame from Atlanta. Got it.
-
Christian Ponder too. Don't forget him. They don't in Minnesota.
-
Here is what I know--nobody really knows. That is why Baker Mayfield was a #1 pick and Tom Brady was pick #199. Anyone posting comments for or against any prospect with unyielding certainty is a fake-ass blowhard.

after 5 minutes you lose that luxury

I think it said 1---not sure.

does he always slap the ball before he throws it?

We could get this year's first, second, and 2023's first (probably a top 10-12 pick). That could be interesting if we have to draft a QB in 2023 (we'd have 2 draft picks).
-
I for one am interested in this pro day. I expect him to dazzle. Do I think he has better upside? Yes. Does that mean he will be better? No. I also want to see Corral--he is the one who might sneak in and steal the show. Nobody talking about him.

Observation: Panthers want to Draft a QB but...
MHS831 replied to Doc Holiday's topic in Carolina Panthers
You know, Doc, you probably should include Philly here--they have 15, 16, and 19---they could easily move up with any 2 of these picks. Philly is in the market, I have heard. -
Late to the party

If they sign a QB and a LT, or if 4 Tackles go before they pick at #6--then they MIGHT take a DE. Kiper is a fraud and has been for years. He is always totally wrong but they bring him back.
