  1. Not glamorous, but you are probably right, and if they see a LT in him, maybe it would be significant. I like Moton's brains, his technique, and his durability. I hope for a long-term contract, but a tag would be fine for now.
  2. Never understood Rivera, but this seems to be a very accurate assumption.
  3. Yeah, the other side of the coin is "today is the day we are going to clean out the garage." and it is fair to these players to give them time to prepare for free agency. But we are desperate for hope and news, so damn you!
  4. Gettlemen drafted (4th round?) but Hurney re-signed him (pretty sure)
  5. I forgot all about that. Standing corrected.
  6. This just in: I am liking the moves. There seems to be some urgency right now (or is that me hoping there is urgency). I sense a move coming on.
  7. I feel exactly the same way--Corn raised his stock and if I were him, I would at least shop myself.
  8. He never saw the field--I was hoping he was developmental and would be decent, but you are right--we need a CB to play the #1 WR.
  9. Good post. I am with you. I think Elder is a free agent, but he was good last year.
  10. S: Chinn, Franklin, Burris, Robinson, Hartsfield (played some S last season, I think ti could be pretty decent as is, very good with a stud) CB: Pride, Jackson, Thomas Oliver III, Elder (re-sign?) That is not great, but could be decent. I think it was a lazy signing.
  11. He flashed---I hope there is something there. Chinn, Franklin, and maybe a rookie S could make the 3-3-5 scary--if they step up. I have no idea what they are thinking, but I was impressed with Franklin--then he disappeared for a bit.
  12. Safety, in the 3-3-5 just became more important without a lot of fanfare about it. I see Chinn moving back there permanently-leading the defense--more like a rover, for lack of proper terminology---
  13. Talked to him at OTAs--I was with a friend of his from UNC--he is a very nice person--a great guy--positive attitude. I pulled for him, but when you are a S, you have to make the tackle--not guessing and diving...
  14. Special teamer, prolly, but he has the skill set and size they seem to covet.
  15. I wonder if they like Hartsfield. The answer, in this case, could be on the roster. (Chinn, Hartsfield, Franklin, and (should I say it? Nope, I can't. It would be wrong. I'd get blasted...) Kenny Robinson? Is there a there there?
  16. Nice. If he did, I am pretty sure he did not knock anything over.
  17. I wonder if this move is not the beginning of playing Chinn more if not solely at S. It might suggest that Chinn will not be a bargaining chip in the Watson deal.
  18. Tell me if this sounds logical: In all probability, we are staying with TB unless we trade away multiple first rounders and maybe a player or two. I do not see sitting at #8 a plan to bring in a QB. This is one of those years, when QBs are on the move--like musical chairs--and if you are not aggressive, you are standing alone when the music stops.
  19. That kinda bothered me too. Not sure it was meant literally--but who knows? We know they went after Stafford hard, no signs we went after Wentz (unless I missed a memo). No rumblings about the possibility of Minshew, etc.I really do not know what that meant.
  20. This free agency period--with the reduced cap and elite names wanting fair market value--should leave quite a few talented players lying around on week 2. I think we could find a few OL that way--maybe a DT--maybe even a LB.
  21. I am in your head!!!! Grab Redyed Dew Tit. If I had a nickel....
  22. Eerie!! That settles it. Teddy Bridgewater it is.
  23. Lotta chatter for a player not on the market. There is a chance they attempt to reconcile, but the JJ departure was huge because it reflects a coup of sorts, and once a general defects, you do not pull him back and put him back in charge. They had best get rid of him. I would ask all players if they want out, and make a list of unhappy campers--trade them if I could, cut them if I couldn't. You can't paint rotten wood.
  24. Prescott is the only player that might fit that description, but he is not as good as Watkins, imo. I think Dak is overrated, frankly. Has had a good OL, WRs, and RB in Dallas. Still can't win.
