  1. See those 4 lines up there ^^^? Tell me where there are any glaring weaknesses? None that I can see. Each one of those lines is contributing on a very high level.
  2. Down to a person, just about everyone on the NHL Network is very good. No big egos and no idiots who think they're bigger or better than the other guy. Football guys are a problem. Everyone seems deathly afraid of calling a bad cell exactly what it is- a bad call. Aikman is boring; Romo is as overhyped as they get and Jim Nance is nothing but a huge Cowboy and Tom Brady nut-hugger. Hell, the 2 best guys doing football right now are both named Manning. And I do like Joe Buck.
  3. That's resale. The team already made their money off the tickets. Just because some scalper can sell his game day tickets for twice as much now as they were worth last week doesn't do anything for the team's revenues.
  4. TV revenue contracts are done for years in advance. Ticket sales are not going to change, thanks to PSLs and, as the OP states, there's no real "box office" advantage to signing Cam Newton. All the coin has been accounted for and every owner knows what their cut is at this point. The signing, if you take the time to read the terms, is a half-season rental the Panthers, thanks to their cap space, were able to afford. If it doesn't work out, the roster bonus isn't paid and he's released before March 1, free to look for employment elsewhere. The Panthers are in a no-lose situation. It endears their fan base a little more, maybe brings back a few hold-out fans and will even have some fans believing a return to the playoffs is inevitable.
  5. Did you really do that? Good on ya. The Blues are a pretty solid team, though, and the fans are pretty decent. Hope you were treated well.
  6. So if Arizona runs this kickoff back after the 15-yard penalty, you all good with that?
  7. 3rd period should have a few make up calls for Carolina.
  8. Like Tripp said, giving the puck up way too close to their own blue line. And the Canes seem to turnover everything in the middle of the ice.
  9. Yeah, it really depends which line he breaks into.
  10. Solid, relaxed penalty kill. Canes stood tall at the blue line.
  11. And another Svech penalty. His discipline is regressing. Jarvis has had 2 goals taken off the board this season.
  12. Another terrible call to take that goal off the board.
  13. Who the fug dresses Abby Labar? It's a darn hockey game, not the red carpet.... sheesh.
  14. Hofer is in net tonight for the Blues. Was expecting Binnington.
  15. Philly forced the Canes to play everything outside- they allowed nothing in the middle of the ice. I don't think the Flyers are a better team, but they did what they had to do to win with a goalie who played well and an offense that got a couple bounces.
  16. Beaten by a good goalie. That being said, always seems like 1 or 2 too many passes. Shoot the damn puck!
  17. Yeah, been a little outta touch. Canes may play Anderson back-to-back knowing he's got 2 off days Sun & Mon.
  18. Yep. Slapped the ice with his stick- get ya every time. Was a horrible call. Ref missed all of it.
  19. "...it is up to Matt Rhule..." by itself is major cause for concern. He might be one of the top 3 worst coaches in the league.
  20. Let him play, he throws a half dozen picks just to get a little dig back at the team who cut him, then he'll last as long as the O-line does.
  21. When they announce the lineups. Let's wait to hear how loud it gets when this O-line gets him killed.
  22. Soccer fans can hope the only resemblance between the 2 football teams in the city will be their colors.
