  1. That's the one from the Athletic I was talking about.
  2. Denver - Quinn Carolina - Payton Arizona - Flores Texans - Gannon Indy - Morris This would be my guess.
  3. It was known from the start he was wanting 20-25m a season.
  4. I don't think Denver was a serious choice because of the contract Wilson had and the fact they won't make Patton give up control as gm.
  5. Either that or going back to fox. Kinda a coin flip that I'm leaning toward Carolina with Arizona being a ploy to make Carolina move to hire him.
  6. Also from that Athletic article, growing belief in the league that Payton doesn't lead for the Broncos job. Makes me think he finally agreed to meet them for leverage purposes with Carolina to make sure he gets the 20m a year deal he wants.
  7. He wouldn't have done the interview in person, he'd have just done a zoom like he did with the Texans. He wants the job, at the very least he's interested in it.
  8. And that was Denver saving face if you ask me, Payton never scheduled or agreed to fly in tentatively for a second interview when the Cardinals interview was going to be on Thursday
  9. Second interview with Denver has been delayed, only interview left for Payton this week is the one with Arizona that's in person in Arizona.
  10. It lines up with national reports that said Denver hadn't even moved onto narrowing down for second interviews yet.
  11. Steve Reed reported earlier that he thinks Kafka, Moore and Dorsey are hard sells to Tepper now because of the way they performed in the playoffs.
  12. Person, I think alluded to thus earlier, saying a lot of false information being thrown about.
  13. Word is that's false, Denver hasn't even narrowed its search for 2nd round interviews and this from NFL reporters that cover nation wide. Also Albright said it was scheduled for Wednesday, then Jeff Duncan said it was Wednesday night or Thursday for and interview....then it was backed off to Payton is flying himself and now we got word from the Cardinals they are meeting him on Thursday.
  14. Cardinals have scheduled a meeting with Payton for Thursday.
  15. Don't know, reports just says its Tepper, his wife and other key front office personnel
  16. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/sean-payton-interviews-no-second-interview-with-broncos-scheduled-yet-panthers-reportedly-making-strong-push/
  17. I think that's what it might end up being or at least really close to it.
  18. CBS just reported there isn't a second interview with Denver and Carolina is making a full push today to hire him.
  19. I think it's likely to be the 49ers picks plus 2024 first and conditional 4th that could turn into a 3rd
  20. Bill Parcells won two with the giants and went to one with the Patriots.
  21. I'll give you that, his staff in NY was an Allstar coaching staff too. He just hated the GM of the giants. However any of those three situations would be a vast improvement from where the Panthers have been since 2018 or so.
  22. His second team was the Patriots and he took them to a superbowl but lost, then went to the Jets and turned them around as well.
  23. He got to the superbowl on his second team and the afc championship game on his third and the playoffs with his 4th team. And all the teams he took over sucked before he became the coach. That's face palm worthy Mr. Scot. The Patriots to the superbowl in 4 seasons after being dreadful the previous seasons. The jets won 1 game and were in the AFC championship game his 2nd year.
  24. Payton comes from the coaching tree of a coach that got to championship games with multiple teams and back to the superbowl after retiring.
