  1. We will agree to disagree then. It all starts at the top and has a trickle down effect. Putting continued blind faith into a regime that has made us take steps backwards and cost us draft capital in the process is why it's all a disaster. Not only that, but I will knife fight you in a dojo about our QB situation. Sam Darnold is ass. Will always be ass. No OL is going to change him from being ass. A decent OL doesn't stop you from crying on the sidelines when you throw an interception duck.
  2. How do you figure this is a real playoff team? That seems more of an overreaction to me. Even if you fix the OL, you think Sam is taking us to the playoffs? Not a chance. Everything on this team is broken and we are waaaaaay way off from the Playoffs.
  3. That's the scary part. I didn't think it could get this low, but the idea of retaining Rhule and trotting Sam out there again week 1 next year makes me full body cringe.
  4. I just saw the quote about Tepper having Rhule's back and showing him "nothing but confidence about me and the future moving forward" and it has honestly made me feel like the guy from the Jags Gif. This can't be real life, can it? How can you possibly look at what has been done thus far and feel confident about things moving forward? Every single move that has been made has been the wrong move, and borderline catastrophic. I do not see any way that Rhule can turn this around to make things look good next year. It would require a perfect move for every single draft pick, FA acquisition, scheme implementation, JUST to get back to the level of what he inherited. We have nothing close to a cornerstone player like we have had in the past to get through these low times where we knew they would turn the corner soon, or a franchise QB drafted that is being groomed. Nobody similar to a Luke, Cam, Olsen, Davis, etc. We have an overpaid, broken RB with no OL and a lot of defensive players that schematically do not fit this style of defense. Burns? He has no business being a 4-3 DE, he just doesn't have the size. He would kill it as a 3-4 LB. Chinn? Probably great? But that requires putting him in position to play to his abilities, which we know will not happen here. Instead, we move him around to places to make up for lack of talent which neutralizes all the special things about him. CBs? We have a ton of rentals and they're all going to want to get paid. See ya Jackson, see ya Gilmore, see ya Henderson, see ya Bouye. WRs? Moore has another 1000 yard receiving season, cool. But he doesn't pass the eye test for me as a true #1. I can't remember a single time he had a Smitty moment and just took a game over. Robby? GTFOH. Our most sure handed guys this year have been Erickson and Zylstra lol. QBs? We've ruined our Franchise QB. Twice. And embarrassed him nationally. Trotting Sam out there again next year is the most insufferable thing this franchise could ever do, yet it feels like it is absolutely going to happen. We have nobody else waiting in the wings being groomed. The level of ineptitude that our college coach has brought in to this team is going to leave a stain on us for probably 5 more years. We have reached new franchise team level rebuild, where we don't just need to get new coaches, but we need new EVERYTHING. Zero cornerstone players. Nothing to look forward to. The draft this year is already shot. Been a fan since the teams inception, gone through the Siefert year, Clausen year, few other rough years, but they all had one thing in common and that was knowing that it would be better next year and big changes were incoming. I've never experienced this level of low with the Panthers before. Not even sure how to support this. The panthers are like my illegitimate step child a thousand miles away struggling with addiction - I want the best for them, but seeing them do this to themselves and seemingly continue to go down this path makes me want to either surprise them with an intervention or I need to distance myself from them for my own well being. Thats the end of my rant, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. "This is so demoralizing, how do I enter the fan transfer portal?" - Panthers Fans 2021
  5. Why would they ruin afternoons with this. No QBs on either team, true offensive display being put on.
  6. I agree, there are enough threads about this topic. But I will say that regardless of the multiple threads, it wouldn’t be happening if Rhule and Fit were decent evaluators of talent. How many guys have we just let go that have ended up looking like world beaters on other teams? Perryman, Douglas, who else? anything we can do to keep showing how inept this staff is, is ok with me.
  7. Maybe I am just so disgusted with Sam, Rhule, this entire experiment that should of lasted a few weeks now turning into multiple seasons…. buuuuuut I hope Sam goes out there and looks like total ass. Multiple picks. Scared of ghosts. Give me the FULL Sam experience so Rhule continues to get exposed. Since the teams inception (I also haven’t lived in the Carolina’s in 20 years) this is the only season I have legitimately despised my team and want to see them fail.
  8. There's just no way this can be true. I refuse to believe this. Anyone with eyeballs and cognitive thinking abilities can see that this is currently a disaster of epic proportions. Get this man out of here.
  9. ... but did he though? I don't recall Rhule ever throwing Sam under the bus, especially highlighting a fumble that wasn't even Cam's fault. Maybe I feel protective over Cam in a weird fatherly way, but after every crappy Sam game with multiple turnovers I can't recall a week where Rhule went out of his way at multiple different pressers to highlight how bad Sam did.
  10. I saw it on twitter, but he basically won't stop throwing Cam under the bus.
  11. I think it’s pretty clear that Rhule has some sort of disdain for Cam. Not exactly sure what it is, could be a multitude of reasons but him throwing him under the bus today genuinely made me dislike him as a person. Cam keeping quiet besides discussing his own play and his faults speaks volumes about the character Cam has vs Rhule, who hasn’t owned any responsibility for anything since he’s been here. I despise Rhule. And I have a feeling the members of the team that aren’t tied to Baylor in any way feel the same.
  12. He is in way over his head. With Brady gone, lets just go ahead and clear this coaching staff out and start fresh… again.
  13. Not a chance in hell that Darnold is on this team next year or takes another snap in a panthers uniform.
  14. This is an embarrassment. Coaching staff continue to flail and shuffle things in panic mode mid game. From play design, to personnel decisions, there is no fixing this. Send them packing!
  15. These posts that glorify him rub me the wrong way a bit. I have no doubt that he is an amazing man in his personal life and someone that is an asset to every community/charity that he is involved with and hell, what a champion for beating cancer. That being said... the guy is a horrible head coach. The ONLY reason he won awards and is still a head coach in this league is strictly because of Cam. Cam did all of the things he did here (including 2015) in spite of Ron and the other coaches, not because of Ron and co. Between his complete inability to make any halftime adjustments whatsoever, excessive loyalty to vets who are way beyond their prime, he's overall a great guy but a terrible, terrible coach.
  16. To play devils advocate here, this almost works out better. Would you rather be 8-2 with Cam after 10 games worth of physical play, maybe some bumps and minor injuries? Or would you take where we are at this exact moment with Cam fresh as a cucumber ready to come in and take on the world? Not only that but a lot of the current top teams seem to have peaked early and are coming back down. It feels like with the return of a healthy CMC and a 100% Cam we are doing our season in reverse, getting healthy and hot at the right time.
  17. If the Giants can sneak in with a weak record and take down the undefeated Pats, there's no reason we cant do the same. This defense (when provided with an offense that does something other than turn it over) is something special. Got a weird feeling about this, too many things lining up for a special run with the cherry on top being the return of Superman. If the stars aligning like this with this type of defense doesn't turn into something special I gotta get into soccer or something else bc I will be left with a severe case of PTSD.
  18. F that. Let's ruin Dallas in the WC round again.
  19. I'm on board with the hat tip to Snow, but let's be honest here... if it was up to Rhule, we'd still be trotting out Sam. His hand got forced due to his stubbornness.
  20. No. Let's pray we never see the man with initials S.D. in a Panthers uniform ever again.
  21. This is depressingly accurate
  22. It’s just so infuriating when the answer to so many questions was right there for us and instead our genius coach thought he was smarter than everyone. Message board fans should never be proven to make more logical and successful decisions than an NFL head coach and staff… yet here we are.
