  1. Well sure, but my point was that 20 years ago, it was easy to get away with being a dumbass. Now, its more difficult.
  2. Cornerback and 61. And he is probably still fast. Although his name is actually Darrell. Fwiw, I read a story that ran a 4.43 forty on his 50th birthday.
  3. I wonder if these older guys just have a hard time adapting to the new reality? I mean what Myer did wouldn't have raised an eyebrow 25 years ago. And that is the era he came up in, and sometimes its hard for some famous older folks (as well as a few younger ones) to adjust to the reality that virtually everything you do in public might end up on social media.
  4. According to what I read, Gilmore is on the final year of his contract. He could be a 1 year rental. Or we might decide to keep him longer, but we might have some choices to make next year. Hopefully, that is a good thing.
  5. Crap, you are right, completely forgot about that. Sciba would definitely have a hard time making an NFL team.
  6. He has the third highest number of touchbacks in the ACC this year. He is not the best at it, but he certainly can get them into the end zone and does it more often than not.
  7. Don't really know if he can't, just never tries it. Of course, its likely that if he could do it consistently, they would have tried it a few times.
  8. Well, we are definitely trying to put a great defense on the field. Wonder if Fitterer is trying to recreate the Seahawn SB team?
  9. We were discussing establishing the run. In the first half, we did establish the run. Early in the game, we were ripping off decent runs. 4 14 12 2 -1 7 4 Late in the second qtr, and into the third, Dallas adjusted, and shut down the run. And our offense couldn't compensate.
  10. I watch Sciba quite a bit. He is incredibly accurate at anything under about 50 yards or so. Just keep in mind that Wake rarely lets him kick anything longer than that. And by rarely, I mean never.
  11. The ironic thing was that we did establish the run. For most of the first half, we were getting 5-10 yards per attempt.
  12. That explains why my marriage to Miss Virginia Dakota York failed.
  13. Don't get me wrong, I thought hiring Meyer was a dumb move on the part of Jacksonville. I am not a fan of hiring college coaches for NFL teams, especially when they come from big programs where he main path to success is recruiting well. But they had a bad team last year, and added a rookie qb this year. They would likely be 0-4 regardless of who the coach is.
  14. Ever? If you are referring to a coach going down the toilet fast maybe. But overall disaster for a team, I am not sure this cracks the top 25, especially if you take into account non NFL sports.
  15. The last time we played them was when we came back from the big deficit. That was 2018 I think. And probably our last really memorable dramatic win with Cam.
  16. Dallas has a very good passing attack as well. Dak has turned in to one of the better qb's in the league. If not for that, their run game wouldn't be anywhere near as potent. Its not the power rushing that makes them a threat, its the combination of power rushing and potent pass attack.
  17. If I were a Jacksonville fan, I wouldn't really care about this. Hot young women flirting with wealth famous older men is not exactly shocking. Its between him and his wife. I would be much more concerned with the performance on the field.
  18. Its the NFL, there are very few sure things.
  19. I completely disagree. Dallas has one of the most balanced and best offenses in the league. I thought they would put up at least 30 against us, and they went slightly higher than. Dallas's struggles are on defense. Their run defense was not good yesterday and Chuba had a relatively good day, but we didn't or couldn't take full advantage of it as we got to far behind. Their pass defense is certainly improved over last year, but our protection/pass blocking is not good.
  20. For some reason, coaches tend not to sub out offensive linemen. And not just our coaches, but most coaches don't. I have wondered why. I suppose continuity is part of it, but it does seem that it might be a good idea to bring in fresh players at times.
  21. I believe its a learning experience. They are still very young, and games like this occasionally happen even to veteran good defenses. Personally, I am not that worried about this specific game. But if we follow it up with another loss next week, that will be a concern.
  22. Its got to be more than that. Dallas didn't really do that much differently on the offensive side. Is our staff too analytical, when there should more attempts at getting them fired up? Do they go in at half and take a few bong hits?
  23. You guys are the champions of early season again. Only 3-4 weeks until Nov, when you guys can start talking about how good you will be next year.
