I think coaches over think things sometimes. In a tight close defensive battle, Saints should have kicked the field.

The question in this is did Reich really want Stroud? If he did, and he had gotten Stroud, then I think he would still be our coach. But all I have seen is supposition and conjecture, but if true and Tepper really did override Reich then all the bad things about Tepper are actually true. I do hope the truth comes out eventually, as it would be interesting. But I suppose it really doesn't matter at this point.

Agreed. And honestly, if it was the girlfriend thing and it impacted his play to the extent some are implying, then the NFL is probably not for him. The NFL is a demanding league where you live your life in the limelight, and if a girl impacts your ability to that extent, you should probably go celibate for a while.

The vast majority of top ranked QB's coming out of college are over hyped. I guess over hyping them is how the Mel Kiper's of the world get clicks and get paid. For every Joe Burrow or CJ Stroud, there are 2-3 Trevor Lawrence's (guys that are decent, but not future Hof qb), and several total bust like Bryce Young and Zach Smith.

I saw an article this morning stating that Jacksonville should dump Trevor Lawrence and draft Cam Ward. While Cam is having a solid year, that might be going overboard a bit.

Regarding Caleb, unlike Young, he seems to have the physical tools. No way to know at this point if he will make the adjustment to the NFL or not. His start has been inconsistent at best.

Trey Lance missed a lot of games due to injury. So there was more hope that he might eventually become an effective NFL qb. I think there is less hope for Young.

Well, 6th and 7th round picks are usually nothing, so we might get that, along with some of his salary off the books. But I think he will stick around for at least this year.

I have a feeling UNC will be looking for a new football coach soon. Maybe they can lure Matt Rhule from Nebraska.
