Prospects of interest going into day three
poorboysrev replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Right…hopefully Blackmon or the other FA safety that visited us are on line 1 when the drafts over. Even if we draft one it’s a big ask for a rookie to start day one -
I think people forget how many big throws and tds Bryce would’ve had if his receivers had caught the ball also ha. Morgan brought up his elite hands and catch radius multiple times

I’m still shocked. I don’t follow college football but when I first watched players’ highlights I thought he was perfect for Bryce. Cheers brother I know you’re stoked

General Draft Rumors/Speculation Thread
poorboysrev replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I’m interested to see what the FA’s do. I’m just tired of watching teams run the ball right down our throats for years now. I haven’t seen Evero show the ability to change his scheme to talent available. I’ve only ever seen these D’s work with a monster in the middle. Shay Tuttle hasn’t shown he can hold that down so if Brown goes down we’re in trouble if we don’t have that kinda dude. Plus he’s big and big guys need to rotate ha. We can use help in several areas. As long as we don’t take some RAS metrics wonder pass rusher with no production I’m good. We have a lot of picks. Let’s go -
General Draft Rumors/Speculation Thread
poorboysrev replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thank you for stating the difference, because it’s a big one. Personally I’d prefer another Bobby Brown/haloti ngata/Kenneth Grant big boy 34 NT. This D has to have that to have a chance. But in a 34 front if we draft Mason we’d be putting DB and Mason 34 DE and BB in the middle. Hard not to like that too -
Panthers bring in DT Walter Nolen for 30-visit

Right…to me that’s the spot you have to have to make that Defense work. Or an offense that puts up points fast enough that the other team can’t just run it down your throat ha -

Exactly. Exposes the whole defense. Dude thinks anyone can be Aaron Donald or something -

Just seems like a recipe for disaster to me..again ha. Makes more sense to me to have a DT that frees DB and company to wrecking ball -

With the kind of formations evero likes true big boy NT’s seem mandatory if we want a chance to stop the run. I like the Bobby brown pickup for that reason but we need more than one -
Sounds like some Vernon Gholston project BS..

Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)
poorboysrev replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t watch college football but on the little I’ve seen yeah that’s what I see. And I just remember seeing a lot of Td’s and conversions/big plays get dropped. I think he’d make a huge impact -
Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)

Right dude looks like he has Deandre Hopkins like hands and catch radius, Funchess had bricks for hands. -
What’s the deal with Zadarius Smith? Seems like he’s a 10 sack in any uniform guy. Idk what he’s asking but couldn’t we use a pass rush specialist at worst case?
-
Right Minnesota is loaded on offense. I’m all in on AAron to the Vikes for 1 year while McCarthy heals up fully and coached to take the reins. Favre-Rodgers saga completed ha. Then begone
-
Who is most likely going to fold like a paper cup the minute the pressure is on haha. I am pulling for him but if I’m a betting man unfortunately the NFLs not patient enough to build the best oline in the NFL. I think he needed another situation close to Minnesota’s level….there’s a lot of talent on that offense

After 1 day of FA, do you feel better about the defense?
poorboysrev replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Most promising thing is a legit 34 nose tackle. At least we can see if it works now ha -
We definitely need LBs! I do not think we’re done at all. Looks like we’re going edge rushers/linebackers/FS/slot cb in the draft. We’ll see if they make a substantial move at any of those soon. It wouldn’t make a lot of since to go high picks and big money at the exact same positions/slots imo..kinda like the idea of that jack sawyer guy(just from descriptions on here) running around , behind this Dline
-
They could use Tremble more in some of that role then. Fb/h back is highly underrated imo
-
I’d love it. We can’t use our QB in those 3rd/4th and 1 goal situations. Chuba might go for 2k with a legit lead blocker and this line. Plus like you said dude can catch and pass block. I think Bryce should be running bootlegs and some waggles and such anyways. His experience would be asset I think. Hopefully we see some good smart moves today

Tershawn Wharton to sign with Panthers
poorboysrev replied to PantherChris's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah..I’ll take Bobby brown and this dude for less money all day everyday -
I agree. It’s the best chance they’d have of making that Metcalf contract worth it. If Rodgers and he get on anything close to Rodgers/Adams old connection..could be pretty explosive
-
Yeah our D is too bad to not sign any quality player if the price is right
-
Nothing wrong with being a man of your convictions ha. I don’t watch college football but a couple of your posts made me check out about 10 mins of highlights and read an interview, 4.5 40 at /quick for his size with the route running and hands/catch radius…he’s a badass IMO. if rumors are correct and we’re going big FA on the D then go ahead and get Bryce a dude. Cheers let’s go baby!
