I'm pissed, but let's not wish violence on any one. I want accountability.
-
If I'm DC I'm getting in the face of the head ref and not leaving the field until escorted out. All season long and this game is one of the worst
-
How can we hold these refs accountable???

Official Week 18: Panthers @ Buccaneers Gameday Thread

Ball carrier initiates contact and we get taunting. Do we need anymore evidence that the refs will always call against us? -

I'd like to see what Canales can do without one of the worst QBs the league has ever seen. -

Seriously. There are two options and people choose the brain rotted one. 1) Bryce is some QB god that is just waiting to explode all this hidden potential all over the football field, BUT we have this idiot head coach who somehow can't call go, post, or seam routes OR 2) Bryce fuging sucks and Canales is scheming the best he can to account for that. Hmm... -

Ah, ok. Instructions on how to prepare pop tarts exist on the back of the box for people like you. So, Bryce has many limitations. Canales tries to create the best game plans to either hide or compensate for those limitations. This means defenses have a really easy time game planning for our offense. This means that in order to succeed we need our defense to force turn overs while we cannot have any errors on offense. If our run game cannot carry us to a victory, it is highly unlikely we can rely on Bryce Young to win us the game. That stat posted last week was not about deep balls. It was "big time" plays, whatever that means according to PFF. Bryce is one of the worst deep passers in the league. -

Broooo the offense spotted Arizona two touchdowns on our first 2 drives of the game and for the rest of the game our defense only allowed 13 points. Who else are you holding to this standard??? -

Forcing 3 turnovers and only allowing touchdowns when drives start within your own 30 isn't good enough? -
The defense forced 3 turnovers and only gave up touchdowns when Seattle began their drives on the Carolina 21, 29, and 25. Its actually amazing how literally everyone outside Bryce has absolutely no room for error. People like you don't realize it, but you're making the case that Bryce needs a top 5 Defense, WR corp, RB duo, and Oline in order to even be competitive. That isn't an indictment on the team, that is an indictment of Bryce.

The difference is by game planning around Bryce's weaknesses we are 1 win away from the playoffs. Otherwise we wouldn't even be in the conversation. -

Dave should just open up the playbook next week for people like you to watch Bryce take us out of the game by the second drive of the game. -
you're so close to figuring it out

Bryce is elite at [PFF designated "big time"] throws
beckersteen replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fifty-four yards, they said it couldn't be done, people tell me those were the biggest 54 yards they have ever seen. We weren't supposed to have 54 yards, but here we are and now we have 54 yards. No one else could have done it. -

We had a QB who could do that and its the last time we went to the Super Bowl and the only time we had an MVP. Once he lost his ability to do that he was out of the league. To filter out insignificant stats I will only look at QBs who have played in 10 or more games this year. There are 28 qualifying QBs. Bryce is 25th in Air Yards per Attempt at 6.4. Only Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, and Dillon Gabriel are worse (6.0, 5.8, 5.1). Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud are the median QBs at 7.1. Drake Maye and Sam Darnold lead the league at 8.7. Bryce is 18th in the league for passes that travel 30+ yards at 12. The median is Caleb Williams at 15. The league leader is Matthew Stafford with 26. With passes that travel 40+ yards, Bryce is tied with three others at 21st in the league with 3. Only Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel are worse. The median is a three-way tie with Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, and Baker Mayfield with 6. The league leader is Sam Darnold with 12. Having the ability to complete passes down the field (not YAC) stretches the defense and makes them account for more ground. It keeps players out of the box and keeps formations in nickel or dime, less line backers for your RBs to worry about. Bryce is why we have 2 losses against the Saints. If he had the outright ability to sling the football down field we beat the easily, but he doesn't. So they crowded the box and our 2 starting caliber RBs with our top ~10 Oline couldn't carry the offense to a win on their own. The limitations of the offense fall squarely on Bryce. -
How many times do we need to see this crap play out every week. How do we hold refs accountable? Just stop watching this? What do we do?
-
Just embrace it and put a flag on the QB already. Tired of all these rules bending around the QB in a contact sport.
-
it really feels that way, every week we battle the refs
