  1. There's an old business saying: "Deadlines spur action." Trade deadline is still twelve days away.
  2. Fitterer wasn't even the best hire at the time. He was simply the best hire who would work with [and under] Matt Rhule.
  3. "If I was on that team, I'd ask to be traded" - Steve Smith, Sr.
  4. Trading for Jones doesn't seem like a prudent thing to do. I felt the Patriots running game and defense carried Jones more than Jones carried the team. They are getting pretty much the exact same results with Zappe Hour.
  5. There was also an interview this off-season where Fitterer talked about how he was initially against drafting Wilson. Schneider eventually convinced him it was a good idea.
  6. Fitts has basically been at most an Asst. GM since he got here since Rhule had full roster control. It is hard to know how much of our mess is Fitterer and how much is Rhule.
  7. From last Tuesday: Wilks said he had spoken with McAdoo on "several occasions" throughout the first 24 hours of his interim coach tenure. While he kept details of his conversations with McAdoo vague, Wilks said he felt the Panthers already have the talent to succeed on offense. "I feel like there are certain things that I want to be able to get done schematically that I feel like are going to give us an opportunity and chance to progress and move forwards," Wilks said. "Those conversations have been between he and I. He's very receptive to those, and I think we're going to be able to get things going in the right direction."
  8. Arizona was smart to keep this under wraps until after the trade:
  9. Only question I would have is Parsons has about 20 pounds on Chinn. 63" 245 versus 6'3" 225.
  10. Probably not. The veteran QB on the roster next year needs to understand his primary job is to be a mentor to the first round rookie we draft. I just don't see Baker being comfortable in that role.
  11. As does the Jets OC Mike LaFluer, but he doesn't seem to be generating much buzz right now.
  12. The record for most defensive TD is 10 set by the Seattle Seahawks in 1998.
  13. Brown has been playing much better this year. We should still keep in mind that Ram's interior yesterday featured center Jeremiah Kolone (UDFA - cut multiple times), Alaric Jackson (UDFA - rookie), along with Bobby Evans.
  14. You already stated that. I'm not disagreeing that we had injured players. I'm not even disagreeing that it might be premature to access Wilks. What I'm pushing back on is the idea injuries are any kind of excuse. The Rams had injured players. So does every team in the league. Part of good coaching is over coming your injured players.
  15. Yeah, we were down some [players], so were the Rams. Injuries happen to every team. The Rams were down several offensive linemen and lost another during the game. One of their RBs was told to stay home.
