  1. Interesting angle. Hopefully it plays a role.
  2. 10 hours late in a thread they started because they didn't see the other 5 that were already there in the front page.
  3. Some kind of hot take he's got there. I wonder why no one thought of that?
  4. Stare would be more appropriate. Dudes like a bulky cobra.
  5. I think this is the beginning of phase 2 in FA with more bodies moving around but less $$. Hope so anyway.
  6. I'd like to see that compared to burns
  7. Now get clowney and fuller
  8. Same. Doesn't bother me he left without a contract. Saints can have him eating up their salary cap for 10% effort. That said, I'd be surprised if they put much effort into making it happen there either.
  9. I'd be happy with Fuller and clowney. Add wonnum and we're winnun. Any chance we would be able to get both clowney and wonnum or is that too unrealistic?
  10. He probably wants more money and less questions about being a slacker.
  11. Didn't see that coming. Interesting....
  12. Past 40 made it difficult prior to us having #39. I think we could go down to 45-50, depending on the haul. i would rather go with fewer earlier picks than a ton of late round guys. if i can get the picks to be no later than 4th round i'm ok, but the first pick i get would have to be no more than 10 picks out from the original pick. 5-8 is the sweet spot, i think.
  13. what i find myself drawn to, and i really hope Morgan & co. are these guys with a lot of fire and fight in them. i think where we fugged up the past half dozen years is this analytics poo where we looked for guys with certain measurables and RAS scores thinking we could outsmart everyone and field a team of top notch athletes. just because you're a great athlete, though, doesn't mean you're a tough football guy. Fitt was an analytics guy. rhule sat on the couch with a bag of cheetos watching moneyball and ted lasso and considered that training for coaching. i think reich was just a nice likeable old guy who tried to make everyone happy but didn't have a clue what he was doing. now we've got a GM who knows what a real football player is and has the freedom to build with player he knows will make an impact, not guys we take a huge gamble on because of their RAS scores thinking that we might find a way to make use of their talent if we can ever figure it out (Chinn). This we are seeing in action. Lots of things remain to be seen in Canales, but if Morgan is as right about his pick of HC as he seems to be with his picks of players, i think we might be on to something good.
  14. agreed about wiley. he was sitting there, though, and i knew i wanted him and took a shot at him then when i probably could have taken estime. they were pretty close together on the board i was looking at. in fact wiley might been a little later than estime. the problem i had was that there were more RBs i liked than TEs so i figured i'd better grab him while i had the chance. i REALLY like Sanders and i think he's much more of a sure thing than Wiley. Taking him then would absolutely not be a mistake. we could still get a really good WR after that, like you did with Pearsall. Aladepo is a DB i like much in the same way i do Kalen King. Just this tough as nails aggressive guy back there making lives miserable for the offense. And Eichenberg is one of those guys that i keep coming back to. i just think he really fits the mold of panther LB we "grew up" with here. There's a few other LBs i like a lot, but i think he's very underrated. i hope he stays that way so we can grab him later.
  15. it will get there. we get an edge rusher that gives a poo and we'll automatically be better. the problem there is that 2 of the three options are clowney and chase young.
  16. mine (not that anyone would care) ... 1) Edge 2) Center 3) WR 3) CB 5) TE 6) big bowling ball RB did this mock right after listing my priorities. 2 trades ( i can't remember what, but they were offered) bingo bango bongo i think Darius will be a beast. Sedrick Van Pran-Granger is the best fit at OC for what we will be doing. not great options for a wide zone blocking scheme at center after him. this is as late as i would try to take him. risky waiting that long, but i wanted more picks. Xavier is just a favorite of mine, but there were still several really good WRs to choose from here. depends on whether you want another slot guy (i think malachi corley, also a favorite of mine, was there but i went for an X guy). kalen king sticks like glue and he's got a bit of a nasty attitude. i just like watching him play. not the fastest, but fast enough. got abused a little by harrison jr, but it was harrison, jr so.... jared wiley...i just have to admit that i more just like the idea of a 6'7 TE. audric estime fits the bowling ball RB that you can just keep feeding all game and let him pound away. there's several options that would fit here. i really like braelon allen, ray davis, and isaac guerendo as well who are usually available even a little later. zac zinter...i was surprised to see him still available. can't have too many good OGs, i think. i saw and i took. tommy eichenberg is just a hard nosed LB that is everywhere. Xavier Thomas was available there as well and could have gone that way just to have solid book end edge rushers.
  17. if the offense is improved at all, that will also help out the D. i see us picking up a couple more vets in the next few days and in the draft we could probably pick up a couple more solid contributors. i think the quality guys we've gotten so far can be used as a good indication of what we might be able to expect in the draft. o think fitt was more looking at trying to find diamonds in the rough or guys who could be great if given another chance or whatever. i don't know. whatever it was that he was looking for, i think Morgan is looking at something else. probably benefitting more from being a player himself rather than fitt who was a desk jockey relying on input from other desk jockeys.
