None of them. And by that I don't mean I like Darnold or Walker. I just don't want Rhule picking anyone. Forced to pick one of them, I'd go Corral followed closely by Willis. Pickett a good way past that, then after that.... nobody. I'd rather us focus on LT and don't big up much resources this year on QB. Rhule and Fitt we're dumb enough to pay for Darnold this year, they should be forced to roll with him.

For this season or long term?

Rhule: Sam Darnold will take a huge step this year
rayzor replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe Rhule should go back to ignoring the press. -

This. Guy intentionally came across as a very visible, present, and available owner... one of the guys who you'd see popping up everywhere fans were and interacting with them. He was always available to and speaking with the media, trying to engage the fans. Since last year he's done none of that. Why? Got to assume he's either embarrassed about the product he's putting out there or he just doesn't care about the fans anymore.

I actually like this one. But I'm boring. -
Matt Rhule dresses like a goddamn slob
rayzor replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Keep sucking it in, Matt. No one will know. -
I think the thing that would make this worse than the hole in 2008 is Fox wasn't a HC with his job on the line. Rhule is. This blows up in his face and gets fired, the next HC is crippled coming in
-
Sorry. Sounds too much like 2008. Got us in a hole we kept digging deeper. Don't want any part of that.

What position?

I don't want us to substitute one lame ass QB with another. He's not an answer and if he's not an answer I'm not interested. My fear is that they would treat him like he was the answer and I just don't want any part of that. They dug their hole with Darnold, for all I care they can rot in it until we wise up and get a HC who won't fug up. There's not a vet answer available and there isn't going to be one this year. Either we draft one or (more preferable) roll with who we've got and fix the damn OL.

Won't happen. He doesn't like Cam, I don't think. Too big of a voice. Not a sheep like Rhule prefers.
-
Let oka like he's ready for a decent training camp, preseason games on the sidelines, and about 4 weeks of HoF caliber play followed by 10 weeks of "is he or isn't he coming back" and then finishing up with 3 weeks of IR.

Person asks about GM / Head Coach "alignment"
rayzor replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
A car that has perfect alignment driven by an aggressive driver can still be driven off a cliff. -
Compared to the other two, he won't see that much long term development. His first three years he wasn't that good then things clicked. When they clicked he got things figured out. I just don't see there's much to build on that he hadn't worked out. High floor. Low ceiling. He just is who he is. Not really much potential for growth to get excited about.
-
Wishful thinking probably. I'm seriously hoping that we don't have an opportunity to trade down and we grab one of those elite LT prospects rather than reaching for a serviceable QB.
-
Probably the least damaging plan if we're determined to get a QB. Still would rather us go LT, but I'm resigned to the idea that we're getting a QB. Got a feeling that they'll go the "safe" route and get Pickett, but he's got the lowest ceiling of any of them. He'll be ok and probably take the least development initially as a rookie, but he won't ever get much better.

i'm used to seeing it as well. why would you need to, though? why would you want to? there's very little need for anything like that unless you are putting yourself into those situations in which case you just need to stop being in those situations. and if you do feel for some reason that you might need one....at least do it the right way and get it registered and get your ccl. weed shouldn't have been an issue (the fact that it is is dumb on it's own), but it is an issue and because it is an issue....don't be dumb with it. don't get caught with it. if you've got it, don't do anything dumb to draw attention to yourself just in case. he's learning....i hope. tough lessons to learn, but it could have been worse.

I mean if you're in a land that just got invaded by Putin, you might have an argument. Here in the US.... there's not really a need for it. Every other country in the northern hemisphere seems to be doing ok without them.
-
That's the bigger head scratcher for me. I've done a lot of dumb things, but managed to keep away from situations where I thought... "Dude, I sure wish I had a gun now." If you find yourself heading into those situations, might be a good time to change direction.
